Homemade Energy Bar Snacks

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade High Energy/Protein Bars

150 grams Dried Cherries
75 grams Whole Almonds
75 grams Brazilnuts, Dried, Unblanched
75 grams Raw Walnuts
75 grams Pumpkin Seeds
250 grams Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
200 grams Margarine, Regular, Hard
170 grams Natural Pure Raw Honey
225 grams Sugars, Brown

Recipe Directions for Homemade High Energy/Protein Bars

  1. Mix & Simmer the sugar, honey & butter in a saucepan for 5 - 8 mins until golden brown

  2. Chop/dice all nuts and Mix all other ingredients

  3. Add to saucepan mixture while still gently heating, ensuring mixture is well mixed and evenly coated

  4. spoon onto baking tray and flatten firmly

  5. cook for 5 - 8mins until light brown, checking every few mins that the mixture is maintaining its shape!

  6. Allow to cool, and cut into 25 - 30 bars
