Homemade pizza. One serving is one slice. You can change toppings as desired. A healthier substitution would be whole wheat flour but I didn't have any on hand.
Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Pizza
| 2 1/2 | cups unbleached flour |
| 1 | tsp yeast |
| 1 | cup water |
| 1 | tsp sugar |
| 2 | tbsp olive oil |
| 1/2 | tsp basil |
| 1/2 | tsp oregano |
| 1/4 | tsp garlic powder |
| 2 | oz pizza sauce |
| 4 | oz mozzerella cheese |
| 1 | bell pepper |
| 1/2 | onion |
| 1 | serving turkey pepperoni |
Recipe Directions for Homemade Pizza
- Disolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let soak for 10 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Mix spices with olive oil then add flour and olive oil mixture to yeast mixture gradually. Knead dough then let sit for 5 minutes.
- Spread dough on floured surface or hand spread to pizza stone or pan.
- Top with cheese and other toppings.
- Bake in oven for 25 minutes or until desired doneness.
