So this morning I got to work and my boss told me a coworker's bf called and said she is in labour. However she's only 6 months along (24 weeks), and to add to that she's having twins (she never told anyone that). I guess tomorrow she will give birth either naturally or through cesarean, and then they might have to fly the babies to NY.
I feel so sorry for her, I don't know exactly how serious this is, my boss made it sound like they might not have a good chance of survival, and will have development problems if they do survive.

ok I guess it is pretty serious :(
Especially because the infants are twins, their birthweights will likely be very low. It will be difficult for them, and for their parents, but as you said, hope for the best.
