On the horse again

Quote  |  Reply

Well in Sept. I ran my first 5K. I didn't do too bad. I ran it in 33:40.

After that I slowed down on the running. And then by October I didn't run at all. This month I started up again and I'm super dissapointed in myself.

I've gained back about 4 pounds that I worked so hard to get off; not only that but myself esteem is in the dumps. Which is effecting my love life a lot. (My poor husband)

He thinks I look fine, he's so awesome. But why can't I get over that "fat" feeling.

Not only that but I had a co-worker jokingly say to me last week ,"If you lost 40 pounds you'd be perfect," nice guy, huh?! That would put me at 100 or so pounds. Super!!! I could borrow clothes from Paris Hilton!

Arghh. I wish I could get over this self doubt and look at myself as healthly and not fat. It's really hard to get excited about anything lately.

After a stressfull couple of months I am putting my head back together.  I have looked at a map and remembered where my gym is ;o)  (haven't been in 2 months) and have just this second booked myself onto tonights step aerobics class.  I've never done step aerobics but I figure if I'm going back then I should go back in style! It's going to kill me!!

I feel the same as you, 4lb is very little in the whole scheme of things, I can gain or lose that in a day, but it doesn;t stop me also feeling flabby and unattractive, I'm sure my man understands your hubby.

You need a jump start, just find something, push yourself for a week.  I'm sure it won;t take long for you to nail that 5k again.

Thanks for the support. Good luck at your class tonight. It'll be fun. Remember to laugh with yourself, not at it.=)
