Hi everybody.
I am 5 5 and 116, It sounds that I am not overweight, but I have a very hug thigh that make me pear shape. It's 22" each one. I really don't know what to do. It's really bad shape in jeans skirt, ... I am size 2 in all over except my thigh. I do exercise and my diet is not that bad. But they are still there. Can you help me?
You don't have much choice in your general shape. Sorry. All you can do is make sure the muscle is kept firm instead of flabby. Actually, 22'' doesn't seem huge to me. There was a forum post asking this question recently. Maybe you can find it and see what others said. I know I responded to it, but I don't remember my measurements.
Hey 22" isn't huge mine are 22" and im only 5ft3, size 2.
While granted although i accept much of my weight is in my lower half and i've spent alot of time training up and gaining muscle in my upper half to balalance out the way i look i don't think my 22" thigh's are REALLY THAT BAD.
I mean i still dare to wear short skirt's, hot pants, tight fitting jeans though ill admit i do have to watch the syle i go for in jeans as very slim fit are uncomfortable across my thigh's. and no-one has ever commented about the size of my thigh's or have i ever felt they look bad.
Your 2" taller than me so i whould imagine your's are faily in proportion with the rest of your body so i wouldnt' worry about it.
I saw your picture yours is in good shape, I guess for this reason it doesn’t look like 22" at all. 22” is not that much if it was same as other part but for me is like exactly something comes out from my body in my thigh. Even when I see my shadow on the wall!!!
I would suggest not wearing clothes that aren't flattering to your figure. Jeans skirts, get rid of them, very few people look good in them anyway. In fact, an A-line skirt would probably be the best choice if you're going to wear skirts.
Hey, I understand where you're coming from, but I don't have a magical solution for you; I can only offer some encouragement. I'm also 5'5" and about 122, and I carry my weight in my thighs as well. I'd guess they are between 21 and 22". The rest of my body (arms, lower legs, and sadly, my chest) is very thin...except for my butt/things. I have a rather small frame/bones so it works for me. Fortunately, I've learned to actually like my body shape because that's what I've got to work with, it's just the way my body is made. No matter how little you weigh or how much you workout, you can't change your body's shape. I'd suggest, like the previous posts, that you work on being fit and healthy and don't worry so much about something you can't change. =)
Women who carry weight on the lower half of their bodies have a much lower risk of heart disease,
And...it is very feminine, however alas...not fashionable.
There is at present only one way to change the distribution of your body mass. and that is liposuction.
It's the most often performed procedure in plastic surgery. I wish I had done it when I was younger. Once removed fat cells are gone forever. whereas if you just lose weight, the fat cells remain, waiting to fill up again.
I know everyone will come down on me for this but, if you can afford it, do it. You will be ecstatic forever.
One more thing though, many women have a part of their bodies that they obsess about. Fixing it doesn't always solve the problem. It just transfers the obsession to something else
Be grateful that your are thin
Good luck
