Huge step... anyone else have a big step they've made recently??
I've been struggling with my weight gain but today - I GAINED MORE!!! I'm so excited and can practically see my period coming (if that's even possible - haha!). I"ve been really trying hard to increase my fat intake as I've heard that it seems to really work get my body back to normal, among other things.
I took the suggestion to eat avocados as a healthy fat. I've never really had avocado aside from guac or in sushi. So I tried eating it plain... oh my goodness - it was so delicious that I ate the whole thing!! The best, most exciting part is that I don't even feel guilty about it! Woohoo - take that ED!
That's my big step today... anyone else?? On to the next day...

My big step today was eating a meatball sub from subway, something I haven't done in a loooooong time. I was kind of craving something besides the regular ol' turkey and hey, it's high-cal!
But again I'm so happy for you with your weight gain!
My big step today was going grocery shopping and actually coming out with things other than fruit and produce!! I bought some tex mex veggie meat to make for dinner this week. I also bought ice cream!!!
My big step for tom is going to be to try not to focus on numbers!! And just be me!!
Mine was introducing wheat back into my diet - I have IBS, so it's painful, but honestly, it's worth it for that hot slice of (burnt) toast (with melting butter!!) in the morning!
Oh! I also started a new job last night, and ate infront of people I had just met.. massive step considering I wouldn't really eat infront of anyone until around December!
Way to go all!! We should all be proud of ourselves!! :)
Amen to stop feeling guilty. I just got back from eating pasta out with my husband and I, too, am about to have a bowl of ice cream. Guilt is not allowed...
Hey, everyday is a new challenge - tomorrow is to continue eating more calories/fats and not getting anxious by not over exercising. I see another avocado and bagel w/PB in my future tomorrow - yummm

I don't have ED, I was just naturally tiny and skinny. But lately I've been putting a concious effort into eating a lot more to try to gain about 10 to 15 lbs. So far, 1/3 way through. Normally I'm not able to eat big quantities at once, but I can snack all day long.
This past Saturday, I took a friend to Haagen-Daaz, and got both of us a scoop of ice cream. Normally, for some reason, I could never finish it. This time I not only finished entire thing but could have gone for more. Yummmm
I've been eating full fat yogurt!!! And let me tell you, it is GOOD!!!
I've been eating peanut butter, full-fat dairy products, meat, eggs, my mother's home cooking (lots of salt and oil), adding honey to things.. I'm no longer sticking to my "safe" foods and it's great to finally eat like a normal person again!
