WTF? Apparently a bad day to be a celebrity. Michael Jackson supposedly  died just now.

Huge =/ Like all my life... like I listen to his songs when I work out. =/ I'm so numb right now. ><

Wow, for some reason he was one of those people that seemed invincible to me.

I know right... I really like... hope he's like...faking his death. I mean, he's known for bizarre behavior.  I can hope...

Fox just confirmed.

Sorry about your loss Cpt.

Not just my loss... the entire world's loss. No one can ever replace him. Ever.

Wow, this is all so bizarre...

We all have the right to feel exactly as we do about Jackson, but I gotta say that as shocking as this is, I don't feel anything at all. The guy was SO screwed up ... I know he was found "not guilty" for molestation ... but c'mon, people, COME ON!! He paid parents off in the past to keep their mouths shut and god only knows what he really did! I will say that it's sad that such a pop culture icon was so screwed up that there probably isn't a single one of us who could fathom what it was like to be him ... but still. Being that he was pretty screwed up, I'd bet he was self-medicating for a long, long time. He was also training with Lou Ferrigno to get in shape for his sold-out 50-date tour coming up, so who knows, maybe that had something to do with it.

People tend to turn the dead into saints, regardless of whether it's deserved, just because they died (something we ALL will do, let's not forget), and it turns my stomach to see people doing this already. Ugh. Good riddance.

Sadly, HIS death will overshadow Farrah's in the media.

Sadder still, Cris Angel (the world's biggest bag-o-douche) is still alive and well. HA! (Sorry, I got a little too morose for my own good, had to throw in a zinger).

OH, and those of you who will think I'm a horrible, cold, inhuman bitch because of my comments ... remember, I've got the right to feel that way, just as you have the right to think that of me. Oh, and if that doesnt' do it for ya, I coud give a rat's ass anyway! ;-)

There will never be another Michael Jackson...many talented people but never another Michael.

My prayers go out to his family during their time of grief.

I completely agree... Farrah was an icon and for the next week all we'll hear is about his death.

On the other hand he was a HUGE icon for pop music and dancing... this day is just intense...

'Course you are entitled to your opinion, tattoed_kitty, but there's a reason people say it's impolite to speak ill of the dead - it tramples all over the feelings of the mourners... just sayin'.

The alleged molestations weren't proven. I think he had an extremely rough upbringing and I find the whole situation sad.

He wasn't my favorite person, but he was a pop icon.

I find the deaths of both him and Farrah sad.

Yeah I'm sure if someone you knew or loved passed away you'd want someone to make insensitive comments such as this about them. Grow up.

Hey CNN says this isn't confirmed.... all thats confirmed is that he wasn't breathing when police arrived. LA times said he did die, but everyone is basing themselves on the LA times.... just saying...

what is confirmed is that he's in a coma...

He is pronounced dead now

He's dead when the hospital releases such information or his family makes a statement. Till then sources are just sources.

I quote CNN at this exact second: "none of the family has said anything and no one has said anything. I cannot confirm anything."

My fingers are crossed. No parent should ever outlive their children...

As a spiritualist, I believe we choose the families we come into the world to be with, to have our experiences and life path learnings, and we choose the way and time we go out.  Maybe not "consciously" but I believe these things are in there.

I know people who have worked for Michael on his tours and say he was an aboslute perfectionist in his work, in his own discipline for training and was a good employer supplying what they needed.  His music is inspired, for it to have lasted and been consistently popular as it is it has to have been.  I don't personally believe he is a paedophile, I believe he is someone who never grew up and just loved being around kids - perhaps they took him back to a time before crap happened to him and he preferred to live in that way.  As for paying people off?  Some people would far prefer to do that, than battle for their innocence in a situation where it (as is still happening now) there will always be divided opinion no matter what the result.   I believe at least now he will be at peace over the rainbow bridge, and will bring harmony and music to the other side and be well again - over there they will teach him to be at peace with his body and his colour.

Farrah Fawcett - another icon.  Such a tragedy also.  A wonderful actress and her loss will be mourned also.  Although, I'm not as sure if she has had as great an impact on the entire world as perhap Michael has?  Be that as it may, she has battled long and hard and to go in such a way for us is harsh to watch but was her chosen path - to fight a losing battle and understand the teachings from it.  I feel for Ryan Oneal, who will be so lost without his soul mate, for that is what they were.

Ed McMahon - another icon we will miss.

The text jokes are already starting to roll in, yet for some reason, I don't find them funny, not in relation to any of these people.  And especially not Michael.   Nothing was proven and he deserves to be left to rest in peace - perhaps now also his children will be given a chance to be themselves, without their poor father's paranoias and over-loving care foisted upon them.  I do feel sorry for them as they will carry a burden of their father's memory and status with them - but that is THEIR life path of learning ... and so it goes, the circle of life.

Kia kaha, Michael, Farrah and Ed.
