I quote CNN at this exact second: "none of the family has said anything and no one has said anything. I cannot confirm anything."

My fingers are crossed. No parent should ever outlive their children...

When I go to CNN it says he has died.....

Maybe on the website, but on tv they are constantly repeating that it hasn't officially been confirmed.

abc says it was someone close who told but asked for anonymity because they were not authorised to disclose the info...

As a spiritualist, I believe we choose the families we come into the world to be with, to have our experiences and life path learnings, and we choose the way and time we go out.  Maybe not "consciously" but I believe these things are in there.

I know people who have worked for Michael on his tours and say he was an aboslute perfectionist in his work, in his own discipline for training and was a good employer supplying what they needed.  His music is inspired, for it to have lasted and been consistently popular as it is it has to have been.  I don't personally believe he is a paedophile, I believe he is someone who never grew up and just loved being around kids - perhaps they took him back to a time before crap happened to him and he preferred to live in that way.  As for paying people off?  Some people would far prefer to do that, than battle for their innocence in a situation where it (as is still happening now) there will always be divided opinion no matter what the result.   I believe at least now he will be at peace over the rainbow bridge, and will bring harmony and music to the other side and be well again - over there they will teach him to be at peace with his body and his colour.

Farrah Fawcett - another icon.  Such a tragedy also.  A wonderful actress and her loss will be mourned also.  Although, I'm not as sure if she has had as great an impact on the entire world as perhap Michael has?  Be that as it may, she has battled long and hard and to go in such a way for us is harsh to watch but was her chosen path - to fight a losing battle and understand the teachings from it.  I feel for Ryan Oneal, who will be so lost without his soul mate, for that is what they were.

Ed McMahon - another icon we will miss.

The text jokes are already starting to roll in, yet for some reason, I don't find them funny, not in relation to any of these people.  And especially not Michael.   Nothing was proven and he deserves to be left to rest in peace - perhaps now also his children will be given a chance to be themselves, without their poor father's paranoias and over-loving care foisted upon them.  I do feel sorry for them as they will carry a burden of their father's memory and status with them - but that is THEIR life path of learning ... and so it goes, the circle of life.

Kia kaha, Michael, Farrah and Ed.

Beautiful post lucy. We have similar beliefs.

It's the same thing... in all those trashy magazines "sources confirm" "someone close to the star says" "an onlooker says" "an offical police/fire department/whatever source stated that..."

I'm waiting for the "Jackson family confirms..." or something of similar.

Whether it being denial or not, it doesn't seem like he can die... =/

Edit: TMZ was the first one to make that report... TMZ of all places... yeah.

Actually, the CNN website also says it's unconfirmed.

they just confirmed with the coroner... :(

ITS ALL HAPPENING SO FAST!

Sorry bunny :[

I can't find the article that says if someone can find it... CNN just says the same stuff for me. =/

It's the front page for me when I got to cnn.com. Also this.

Cbunny the BBC news page is confirming it now and have posted an obituary to him...going to have to face it he is gone but not forgotten.

bunny, not as big a fan but I was a fan from childhood when he was lead singer all through college when his thriller cover was on dorm doors.  Im sorry - I can imagine if I lost my Leonard and like you said so my sympathies to you also and yes, what the world has lost.  Legendary talent and outstanding showmanship - bigger than life.
Hard to believe.

I knew he was dead, but... didn't want it to be true. I kept hoping people were wrong, because they have been in the past, y'know?

This sucks. Really really sad. :( My heart goes out to his family, especially his parents. So wrong. =/

Grim Reaper seems to be making a sweep through LA/Hollywood or something.

Gah... RIP. :(

Now I'm pissed.  Global just ran a 15 minute Jacko spot right in the middle of Harper's Island!

Beautiful post lucy. We have similar beliefs.

Completely agreed. Just WOW. I'm quite surprised how much this is effecting me, I feel sick.

Yeah the news is going to be annoying for awhile now. =/

I watch Harper's Island too. :)

Edit: What really sucks is MJ really hated media attention and now they're doing exactly what he dislikes. I kinda wish they would go away too.

Just heard little michael singing on TV, weird timing - a state farm commercial "I'll Be There".  Found it on youtube HERE so eerie to hear, thought it was a breaking announciement but just coincidence of commercial timing.  What a lifetime of music

New York Times Headline

Michael Jackson, the singer, songwriter and dancer who earned the title “King of Pop” in a career that reached unprecedented peaks of sales and attention, died Thursday at 1:07 p.m. Pacific time, a Los Angeles city official confirmed. He was 50.

The circumstances of Mr. Jackson’s death were not immediately clear. He was unconcious when rushed to UCLA Medical Center on Thursday afternoon by paramedics who performed C.P.R., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

I really hope it wasn't drug related because I'm sure people are waiting for that.

i just heard this to...and i am still in shock..i mean a heart attack..michael? I just never would of thought that would happen to him.
