Not really hungry and only at 600 calories
I had a late lunch which was a huge salad and I am not really hungry. I am going to eat some butternut squash that I roasted but I really don't want anyting else. What can I eat to bring my calories up. I asked my husband to bring home some frozen yogurt but then I don't want to over do it. Any suggestions?
I think that a great healthy way to raise your calorie intake with something that wont make any fuller is to sneak in a few almonds, and if you dont have any put some natural peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat bread. by doing that you wont be stretching your stomach but will be helping your metabolism.
I agree with the nuts/peanut butter suggestion. Also, toss some olive oil on the roasted squash...it's one of the good fats and it's 120 calories a tablespoon! Toss on two tablespoons and boom, 240 calories right there. :-)
Thats a good idea. I don't have almonds but I have cashews. I can have some of that will the yogurt tonight and I should be ok. I might have a late night snack even though I dont like to do that.
Drinking milk is another healthy way to get your calories up when your full.
If you are serious about getting enough nutrition for your body, eating a few cashews with yogurt isn't going to make that much of a difference...definitely go with the toast and pb, or olive oil.
