I am here...  I have electricity, yay!  It's been a rough and very sad week.  I am glad this group is here - I know weight loss seems trivial, but I feel terrible - after the stress and anxiety before IKE, then the frustration and sadness and upheaval after the storm, I feel like I have undone every step I had made in the right direction.  Now that I can step back and look at the week, it's no wonder I feel so ill because my eating has just made everything else 100x worse...

I hope everyone else is managing.

It's hard to manage when food options are so limited.  I have power as of last night, but before that I was basically living on Poptarts and Pringles.  Now that I have power, I can't find any open grocery stores, so it's close to impossible to find any fresh veggies or lean meats or unprocessed food in general.  I totally understand what you mean about feeling sort of ill about what I've been eating... I'm so used to eating healthy-ish, that all the nutritionally empty "hurricane survival" foods we had made me feel sort of off.  *sigh*

Good luck to everyone who's still recovering/waiting for power!

Sometimes you just have no choice but to jump off the wagon, temporarily.  When the time comes and life is simulating "normal" just remember, you only have to get through one day at a time.

Good luck

I am back on track. My gym was close all last week. & its pretty hard to exercise at home w/no AC. Too hot. **so I think I have a good excuse** :)

It is very hard to stay on track during storm time. I didnt have power for 5 days. All last week I fell off the wagon. But I am back on & stronger to continue my journey to my goal weight. I hope everyone is doing good. I live in north Houston, around where I live there wasnt much damage as other places Ive seen. Houston is starting to get back to normal again. I hope everyone gets there pwr back on soon. I know I was soo glad to have it back on.
