Will it hurt to eat 1000 to 1200 calories for about a week?

I had a wisdom tooth removed and want to eat as little as posible since it makes it sore when i chew any.


Yesterday lucky if i made it to a 1000 and it was mostly pudding allso raisins and bananas.

Today i managed to get up to 1200 but now my jaw is sore and i have to tak som vicodin.


So will it hurt to do this for a week?

It's a Tradition at our house that Dental work means time for Goodies!!! Tongue out

Do ya' REALLY wanna' give up a Legitimate excuse for ICE CREAM or Frozen Yogurt for a week...? Surprised

For better nutrition you could add protein powder, etc, to a soft serve bowl or shake... Wink

(And you can microwave ice cream for about 10-15 seconds to soften it 'just right!') Cool

Some soft savory foods shouldn't be too difficult, either- mashed potatoes add up quickly! Laughing

o my when I had my wisdom teeth removed I lived off fresh cherry milk shakes for a week! ha ha then didn't want to see another one for about 5 years!!!

Good luck...it will heal! I would like to think that one week will not make or break anyone (cal wize) ...but what do I know I am no doc!

I actualy did eat one of those personal vanila ice cream yesterday that is where 300 of my calories came from.



I should of got more for today and rest of week but didnt.


I might do that though thats an easy 300 calories to get me closer to what i need.

I was gonna suggest that you eat some high calorie foods that requie little chewing to get you up to your calorie goal but seems you thought of that already. I wonder how a blended big mac would taste.

I made sure i ate me a burger and small fry day be4 i had my wisdom tooth out.



I dont think i could eat it all grounded up though dunno why just seems disgusting to me.

haha Im in a similar position, ive a really sore mouth ulcer and hot and cold foods hurt, thats ice cream out :(, Im living off sugarfree jello, lukewarm oatmeal, weetabix mashed up, scrambled eggs, you could try mashed potatoes maybe (I dont like them) Im in bad need of protein though, seems as though carbs are the only things you can mash up!!

I'm sorry I was thinking out loud when I said the thing about the blended big mac cuse I was thinking of something high in calories that could be blended and that's the first thing that popped into my mind.

But I don't eat fast food so I don't know where that came from.

Ummm............. cheeses? Yummm..... Tongue out

if you need protein- cottage cheese or yogurt?
ditto for fats

add peanut butter to things.

eat oatmeal

ice cream/frozen yogurt

add oil when you can

soft breads?
