I dont want to put tears in anyones eyes this afternoon. I have found this site about a year ago I guess and I was just trying to lose weight and did so very sucessfully. I gained it back but lost again. Now my loss is greater because in January the lord took my husband to be with him. He had a massive heart attack. My days have been so sad but I know he would want me to go on and live my life with happiness. He was filled with adventure and he would want me to have adventures each day like we did together. So I thought when days are lonely then I can just type and talk with others. I am almost at the weight I want to be which is about 125 but I may go lower. I need to lose about four more pounds and I know I will do this. My inspiration is my husband. So guess what? You are right LURLEEN IS BACK. Hi everyone

Let us imagine that life is a river. Most people are clinging to the bank, afraid to let go and risk being carried along by the current of the river. When the pain of hanging on becomes greater than the fear of letting go, we let go and the river begins to carry us along safely. Once we are used to being in the flow of the river, we can begin to look ahead and guide our course. We choose which of the many branches of the river we prefer to follow, all the while still going with the flow. We can enjoy being here now, flowing with what is and at the same time, guide ourselves consciously toward our goals by taking full responsibility for creating our own lives.
First, welcome back lurleen.  My deepest sympathies for your loss.  I can't imagine what that would be like.

Second, strongman, thank you for that.  I needed that.

Hello Lurleen,

I ended up at this post from a link in your profile and I'd just like to offer you my sincerest condolences. You are one strong woman. I think this is a great place for you to channel any stress and pain you must be experiencing. After all..you need to take care of you right now.

I lost my son back in June, and only recently have I managed to pull my arse out of my rut and work on improving my quality of life. If you ever need anyone to talk or vent to, please do NOT hesitate to contact me. I may not have lost a husband but I certainly know about loss and grief and I know sometimes alll you need is some one to listen even if the words have been said 100 times over.

Take care chickie...
