Hydroxy Cut

Quote  |  Reply
Hi All,

I was interested in finding out if anyone has heard of Hydroxy Cut before? Apparently, it aids in helping strip fat and gain lean muscle. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks,

Renee

Personally, I'm not a real big fan of supplements.  Particularly, anything that is more than a protien supplement.  IMHO, they are at best useless and at worst dangerous to your long-term health.  I say stick with the basics: Exercise more, eat less, mostly vegetables.

Besides, Hydroxy Cut's ads are really, really annoying :-P
well if u look at their adds.... "i lost 27 pounds in 12 weeks"  i think that is one, you can do the same thng by justeating right and excersise, dont waste your money!!
I use it occasionally.  Drink several cups of espresso and you'll net the same results.  It's a stimulant and really does nothing except, well, stimulate.  I don't feel as hungry because I've got more energy and not thinking about food as much.

It doesn't come without risks.  After taking it for about a week, I'll notice that my body has acclimated and I don't feel the effects.  That's usually when I go off - and then come the headaches.  Massive caffeine withdrawal headaches for 1 ? 2 days.

Really, your best bet is a great diet and exercise because Hydroxy Cut isn?t going to help if you don?t have those in place anyway.

Just my .02
It has been around for a while, since they banned ephedra it really lost it's great fat burning effect. There are other brands our there that are better. send me an e mail I will give you a list of the better fat burners on the market.

Thanks Guys,

I appreciate all your comments. I think i will just stick to good old fashioned eat less, excerise more. I'm just a little confused. There is so much advice out there - eat more protein, less carbs. I tried this, mainly for weight loss but also because I had a yeast overgrowth in my tummy and I wanted to control it. I did, for a time but when I started slowly intergrating carbs and some sugars (fresh fruit) into my diet, my weight just exploded. So I think its back to having a good breakfast, smallish lunch and an even smaller dinner. Plus working out three times a week. Sometimes my calorie intake is just over 1200 but I am still 84 kilos. Its driving me nuts. - plus i am pre-menstrual right now so this thread will probably sound like I am completely nuts.

Anyway - i will keep you all posted.

I had a friend that was on it and she said she liked it a lot.  But, I went to talk to a clerk at GNC and he said not to waste your money.  You have to excerise while on it or else you will gain all of it back when you stop.  Well, you have to exercise either way if you want to want to get in good health.  There is no magic pill that makes you in perfect.  Might as well do it the healthy way.
Yeah, all those pills are worthless without ephedra. They are just expensive.
ephedra may be gone but there are some newer drugs that are really good. Hydroxycut sucks. But there are some companies that found a very good replacement for ephedra with out the jitters. So some do work.
I sent you an email, I know that sometimes you offer some additional info via email. Hope you don't mind!
I actually just started taking Hydroxycut (caffeine free version) yesterday. I have been on a plateau for a LOOONG time and I have finally had it.  Yes, I work out and eat healthfully, change up my routine, etc., etc. but the plateau remains

So far, I have had no side effects except suppressed hunger. I am not jittery at all. I am certainly not promoting, just letting you know what I have experienced thus far. Day 2...
bodyscience, can you recommend any of the "good" companies that have found healthy/efficient replacements for ephedra?

I count calories, exercise, and strength train.  I've just hit a plateau (and I know it's common) and getting discouraged because I havent seen any results.  I don't want to damage my body, but I'm open to trying something if it's ok and may work.

yes, I would likle to know some of the other brands that found a replacement for ephedra as well! Does it have the same effect as ephedra??

Took it in college for three days, and on the third day my heart started beating so hard and so fast I though it was going to explode...never took it again....same thing happened to four of us on the track team....we threw it out, and told people not to buy it.

 Renee:

try limiting your non-vegetable carbohydrates to the post-exercise period.  Your body is primed to burn them right after exercise (either strength training, intense cardio or at least 60 minutes of lower intensity exercise).  You may have a poor tolerance for carbohydrates, which would explain the weight gain even after slowly introducing them back into your diet.  If that's the case, it's even more important to keep the junk carbs out of your diet.  I've had some really good results by simply timing my intake of starchy carbs (whole grains) to the post workout period, and eating vegetables anytime (preferably with every meal, with a piece or two of fruit thrown in as well).

Good luck!

Lol have you guys ever actually read the small print at the bottom of the commercial?    "results not typical with"   think that might tell ya if they work or not

yeah i i took it once and it did absolutely nothing for me so that was like 20 something dollars down the drain

dont waste your money

Check out dren from MHP, and lean system 7, and methyl ripped from nxcare. they all work pretty well. Dren is the best right now. One pill per day and you are good
