hydroxycut... YES or NO ?!

Quote  |  Reply

i was just hoping to hear some success stories for hydroxycut, and some feedback from people who have already taken the supplement :)

or the opposite, if your against it, id love to hear your opinion as well

MY STORY:
i have been taking hydroxycut for 4 days now, and have seen a little bit of results. in the Beginning of january i tried a lean jean diet that was supposed to make me lose one jean size in 10 days but in the 10 days i only lost like 3 lbs. but i did lose about 2 inches off every part of my body.

With hydroxycut so far, ive lost 5 lbs in 4 days of taking it, which i think is a great success. My goal is to take the hydroxycut for 8 consecutive weeks and lose a minimum of 20 lbs.

Ive also included daily visits to the gym where i run for about 30 minutes, and have started eating way healthier, no junkfood, light everything, and more meals a day as apposed to just one. so im sure that has something to do with my wieght loss as well.

No.

No.

Having tried numerous things, I can tell you that losing weight is calories in vs. calories out. The end. Probably most of the weight you lost was water weight. HYDROxycut tells me I'm probably right...

Good luck.

No.  5lbs in a couple days is for sure just water weight.  Plus, losing more than 2lbs/week is way too fast and you're likely to regain the weight very quickly.

Diet and exercise, all the way.  Good luck!  :)

i agree that it is just water weight but on the hydroxycut website it says that you can drop 15 lbs in 8 weeks if you diet and exercise as apposed to just diet nad exercise 4 lbs. you dont think it would be a good boost starter? thats what i think.

NONONONONNONONONON

I had a coworker who lost a bunch...as soon as he stopped taking it, ballooned back up.

BUT, what I really wanted to say is that notice how all of those pills say that it works only in addition to diet and exercise? Well, if you can diet and exercise, you don't NEED the pills, and they are pointless.

'if fitness came in a bottle, everyone would have a great body'....and it would cost way more than you or i could afford!

Supplements are one thing, but diets pills are no good. Please dont!

If you diet and exercise you can safely lose 2 lbs per week without hydroxycut - 2 lbs x 8 weeks = 16 lbs ....

You have far too high of expectations.  3lbs in 10 days is a good number.

You didn't put this weight on overnight and it's not going to come off overnight.

Sorry if this comes off flat, but you seem like a yo-yo dieter if you can't commit to a slow and steady diet and HAVE to use these pills to speed it up.

That being said, this is all coming from the perspective of someone who has used hydroxycut a LOT.  And I'll tell you right now that what people are saying about water weight is true.  Have you noticed how many times you've been to the bathroom so far today?  Probably about twice as much as usual.  Make sure you're drinking 2 liters of water per day, I got faint in the beginning from water loss and low blood pressure.  Also, once the water weight stops coming off you're going to stop seeing results like this.  The first 1 or 2 weeks are basically the honeymoon with diet pills.  You'll drop a load of mostly water and then stabilize losing only a little bit more than you would without the pills.  And guess what comes back when you get off of them again?  Yeah, the honeymoon weight.

So if you're frustrated with 3lbs in 10 days, I will tell you bluntly right now that if you get frustrated with hydroxycut when it stops working so effectively, and you stop taking it because you can't sleep at night / feel jittery / are peeing all the time, the honeymoon weight is going to come back.

If you don't mind the side effects and can stay on it while you're only losing GASP 3 lbs (ish) per week, then go for it.  But don't just take the honeymoon and then divorce it.

I agree completely. Your post just screams "yo-yo dieter". If you continue to try and find quick fixes, you're simply going to continue losing and gaining the same pounds over and over again.

I've also used Hydroxy-Cut and I felt miserable on it. I was incredibly jittery, light-headed, and unable to sleep. It also made my skin weird. Diet pills really aren't safe and they can also be pretty dangerous.

You only get one body, so learn to treat it right instead of abusing it.

I love weightloss gimicks that say that "with diet and exercise" you can lose just as much as you can lose without their expensive gimick.

actually i am not a yo-yo dieter, this is really my first diet! I am only 17 years old. and this past year i have put on quite a few lbs. im currently 5'7 and a 185 lbs. my ultimate goal is to lose 50 lbs so i will be 135 lbs. but right now im focusing on 20 lbs so ill be 165. im ususally around 155-170 and i think i look pretty good in that section, but id still like to be thinner.

im using hydroxycut as a boost to help my metabolism speed up and then after the 8 weeks i plan on stopping the use of it and then maintaining a healthy lifestyle with diet and exercise. this is really jsut a boost for me. i have not experienced any of the side effects yet, have no problem sleeping, and do not feel nausiated or jittery. but i do pee alot... but then again im drinking A LOT of water, but thats good for you. so that doesnt bother me.

and its not that i was discouraged with the 3 lbs... i was just comparing. any lbs lost makes me happy!  i do not plan on staying on the pills for life but i do plan on commiting to a healthy lifestyle for life.

does that change anything?

nope - I'm still against it.

you know i absolutely agree with that.
but i think for me , it was just the motivation when i first got it, because i did read so many AMAZING reviews... on THEIR website ( obviously theyre going to put good reviews up ). so at the time it was just exciting to think about. but now that ive read all these. you guys are completely right. im paying for the pills but can lose just as much weight doing what im doing without the pills.

thanks alot for your feedback. Laughing

Taking pills of any form to boost your metabolism will cause you to blow your system and after you stop boosting to help speed it up, it will crash and you will not only gain your weight back that you lost but you will gain more on top of it. At your age you simply need to make healthy choices and stay active. I took medication to do just as you said "boost" my weight loss and I lost it alright and then stopped taking the pills, gained back all my weight in less time then it took to loose it and packed on an extra30 pounds. I would recommend stop using as soon a s possible and do it the healthy old fashion way... Hard work and smart choices.

To those of you who responded: did any of you quit the pills and continue to diet and exercise?

A few years ago I was taking TrimSpa X32  (with all of the side effects of being jittery and peeing quite frequently) and the weight MELTED off. It also came back with a vengance when I stopped taking the pills and dieting and exercising. I'm wondering what would have happened had I stopped the pills but continued with the low cal diet and hitting the gym 4 times a week? Anyone know?

I was on adipex with the same results and after I quit taking them, I continued to eat right and exercise and the weight came fast and hard.... It made me so fustrated that over time I just gave up.. It didn't matter, the weight was returning and there was nothing I could do to stop it and finally it tapered off and stopped but with the extra 30 pounds......

NO.  Slow and steady always wins the race.  It's a matter of calories in vs. calories out and everything else is a scam designed to lighten your pocket...

On hydroxycut I've never gained the weight back, but that's because I don't fall back into old habits.

I will say that I think that many people who say that "the weight came back" are deflecting responsibility for said weight.  But you recognize that it was probably because of the lifestyle shift.

My metabolism is/was just fine, but I did everything right and still try to.  I'm still losing, but I didn't want to pee 50 times a day and feel faint and unconnected in classes.  I need those credits to graduate!

No!

Hydroxycut is an overpriced caffeine pill, you can get the same 'boost' (which if you do the math might get you an extra 20 or so calories per day) by drinking a cup of coffee and putting a little hot pepper on your food.

if it actually worked then 10000000 people would be on it. those before and after photos in that ad look soooo photoshopped.
