I have been looking around for a good hypo diet and I think I found a good one, anyone have any suggestions as to where to look?

hey, I'm hypo too, all I know is regular meals, (every 3 hours, no more) no refined sugar or carbs, protein with every meal/snack. GOOD carbs. whats the one you found? just curious :)
similar but also no caffeine. Do you do caffeine. don't really want to give this up. also high fiber. gicare.com
im hypo too!! but i def.. haven't stopped drinking coffee.
does being Hypo mean I will be diabetic when I'm older, anyone know?
Being hypoglycemic doesn't necessarily mean you will become diabetic when you're older. Becoming diabetic is complex but your chances increase most if there is a family history of diabetes.
The basic treatments are the same.... trying to keep your blood glucose levels stable. Eat 3 small meals and 3 snacks each day. Count carbs closely and make sure you have some protein and good fat with the carbs you have. Dieticians usually recommend 30g carbs with each meal and 15 carbs with snacks.
Hypoglycemics try to prevent low blood sugar.
Diabetics are trying to prevent high blood sugar. AND those taking some medications and those on insulin also have to deal with episodes of their blood sugar going too low.

coco, the odds are not in your favor for Type II diabetes when you get older. Your doctor needs to ascertain how your body processes sugar by using a 2 hour test. It's a righteous pain, but it can help clarify for you how your metabolism works and where it's going wrong.
Many "hypoglycemics" are actually hyperinsulinemic. A hyperinsulinemic who does not control her blood sugar is almost guaranteeing herself insulin resistant diabetes in the future.

I need some snack ideas that don't involve almonds or turkey! Seriously, are these are only options?
And it is very important to eliminate caffeine. Also, I've notice that I have more "episodes" in the spring and summer -- the hot weather does something to my blood sugar, I swear.
Now i've got to go read about hyperinsulinemic. I'm confused because my fasting blood sugar is normal, not low, yet i have hypoglycemic symptoms.

My fasting blood sugar was normal, too. Still, I have always periodically experienced major blood sugar drops and attempted to control it with a balanced diet. Thus, my A1C was find also. My doc was entirely ignorant of the problem until she did the 2 hour glucose processing test.
