Hypothyroidism and synthroid

well I just got my synthroid today as I have newly be diagnosed with hypothyroidism, now I know there are a few people on this board on this drug and with this condition, I was just wondering what should I expect to see in the days/ weeks to come?

I am actually taking the brand name synthroid. I have heard about not switching between generic and brand name as well for the same reason that you mentioned.  I am wondering however if there is some kind of reaction going on between my birthcontrol medication and the synthroid that is causing the weight gain.  Have you ever heard anything about that?

I haven't heard of any contrindications of the birth control along with the synthroid,  but I am past birth control so I would not have heard it and retained that information probably.  Check with a pharmacist.  They could tell you.
