I second this question... and add, what's the best bang for your buck?

For instance, I know everyone raves about skinny cow, but it's really expensive. So what do people recommend for a yummy low cal ice cream (or frozen yogurt or whatever) that's still affordable?

I love the weight watchers English toffee ice cream bars.  They are 2 bars in a serving for 110 calories.  They are VERY tasty.  I'm not sure about the price... I don't think they are too expensive though.

I can't have dairy so I eat the Soy Dream - Rice Dream Ice Cream.  Had a whole pint of the Chocolate Brownie on Saturday night for 520 calories.

If I had will power, a half cup serving is 130 calories.

Seconded for "Rice Cream". It's caloricially similar to ice cream but has way less saturated fat. And it tastes great! I buy this brand: http://www.goodkarmafoods.com/

Edy's slow churned 1/2 the fat all the wayyyy!
it's really good and the calories range from 100-140ish per 1/2 cup. imo its deffinitellyy worth it

weight watchers, slim a bear

My kids and I are crazy for Popsicle brand fudge bars. They are sugar-free, and 98% fat-free and only 40 calories each. They are single sticks servings and come 20 to a box for $3.58 at Walmart.

I love the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, they are only 130 cals and are YUMMY, but I am also aware that they put antifreeze and all sorts of other crap that can't be good in the low-fat ice creams to imitate the mouth-feel of fat. So something else that is naturally lower in fat and silky delicious is So Good soy "ice cream". The chocolate is my fave.

CHAPMANS PLUS IS AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZING

http://www.chapmans.ca/products.aspx

1/2 cup = 150 calories and 7 grams of fibre!!!!!!!

regular chapmans is great too - less calories - 1/2 cup of vanilla is 100 calories and tastes sooooo good!

If you live near a Sobey's, their own brand "Compliments" frozen yogurt, especially the strawberry is amazing - you would think it was full fat ice cream and big chunks of berries in it - for only 110 cal for 1/2 cup.  They have Brownie and caramel versions too, a bit more calories but good for a sweet fix!

i've checked every regular ice cream at the store and edy's loaded has the least calories.

The Walmart brand, GreatValue, has vanilla that's like 60 or 70 calories per half cup. And since it's Walmart, it's pretty cheap from what I remember. They have other flavors too.

Sorry guys. I don't want to buy cheap brands. All I care about is healthy and not very high sugar ones.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Maybe it is healthier to just make it at home.

Sometimes, i think it is better to eat the regular versions of ice cream but in small quantities. what do you think? is cream really bad for you?

i just started eating blue bunny fudge bars (they also have vanilla swirl in the pack).  they sweeten with splenda and are only 50 calories (60 for vanilla swirl) for the entire bar.  not just a stick pop...but a big bar.  amazing!

sometimes...i have been known to eat two...it is only 100 cals!

I love Turkey Hill's fat free vanilla bean ice cream.  It's made with splenda but I think it tastes really good, just like a good rich vanilla ice cream.

And only 70 calories per 1/2 cup.. you can't beat that!

Lidls , asda . sommerfeild , sainsburys , waitrose .  i just bought asdas Good for you sorbet yogurt raspberry. the best ice cream i have  tasted in a long time , abit pricey at 2 pound for one litre but its well worth it

Ice cream? Healthy?

Are you sure that's actually possible?

Why don't you try and find some natural frogurt or sorbet.

well, that is my question basically:) I was wondering if I could find ice cream that might be healthy. also, being a female require that we should aim for a certain amount of fats in our diet so maybe a small of portion of ice cream is not that bad at all.

skinny cow 150 cal drumsticks!!!

DELICIOUS!!!!! I literally was shocked to see a cone like that with such little calories! Im in love i could eat them all day everyday :)

maybe I should buy an ice cream maker and make my own versionLaughing
