I'd like to introduce myself...
I'd like to introduce myself my name is Kevin and i'm a 16 year old kid who just wants to lose weight and i've figured i have to go to the extreme to do it i weigh 288 pounds and i want to reach 240 so i have a way to go but any help and advice along the way would be appreciated
Hello! I am a 31 year old mother of 2. I remember quite well what it was like to be overweight and in high school. I am at 149.6 pounds right now and that's saying alot! As far as advice goes for you, Kevin, I have to pass on a little tidbit of something I've learned over this past year. I go to the gym every single day. I hate it some days, and other days I love it. I struggle constantly with myself to get in there, but I go....because I know how much I'd hate myself for skipping. When you go, do something different every single day. Most importantly, focus on your cardio above all else. You will get bored silly with doing the treadmill (or elyptical, or bike) day after day. Take your ipod with you and have only upbeat music to listen to so you are charged while you workout. It's a known fact that we exercise to the beat of the music we hear, so slow songs will not do. And push, push, push yourself! If you go in the gym with a goal of killing 200 calories, raise your goal as you are working out. Go to 300, then see if you can stand to do 25 more! Just keep pushing and you'll see results very quickly. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GIVE UP!
