What the???...any idea what i do now?

ok yesterday i was out most of the day with freinds, subsiquently i ended up having a veggie burger and chips for lunch and a handful of chips and a packet of crisps for dinner, to me this is not only grossy fatty and nothing close to what i sually eat but, hey, i was with freinds celibrating.

The reason i was so preplexed is when i was puttinging yesterdays cals and 'exercise' ( two hours of house cleaning before i went out and the two hours of walking around town) it turns out i consumed 15,07 cals?? and burned 15,77 cals???

so yesterday i ended up with -70 cals?? what do i do now? i'm worried that i might go into starvation mode and screw up my weight loss, do i just forget it and move on or do i eat more today?? ahh i dont know, any advice would be greatly appriciated, cheers.x

Definitely don't eat more today.  Your body shouldn't go into starvation mode because of one day of undereating.  Plus it seems unlikely to me that cleaning and walking around town with friends burns 1577 calories...  If you're anything like me, "cleaning" means dusting a bit, vacuuming a room or two, and maybe washing the windows or something... not that vigorous of an activity... and when I go walking "around town with friends", we tend to window shop, walk real slow, talk, peek in stores, etc.  I'm sure you're fine, a few bites of a cheat food won't destroy your diet.  I'd stick to your usual diet & exercise plan for the day.

cheers, yeah your probably right i just find the exercise and calorie meters on this site hard to decipher, i just figured the exercise meter was so high because i weigh so much, 276.

i think ill just pretend it didnt happen then.

thanks for your reply.

I agree with the above.  It takes many days to slip into starvation mode, and we all make way to much about one day.  It's about weeks, months, and years.  one day is just a data point!!

keep up the good work!!!

I'm confused. Why in the world would you be concerned about going into "starvation mode" with a 70 calorie deficit??? You basically ate the same amount of calories that you burned.

Yeah, that was where I was confused, as well. Isn't having a deficit the point? A 70 calorie deficit would be maintaining.
