I was wondering... What is everyone's ideal weight? Medically and perferably?

I am almost 5'10 and have a large frame. (Visually and using the whole fingers around your wrist measurement). I currently *gulp* weigh 302. Medically, for my age and height I am supposed to weigh 165. I don't see this happening. My mom, who is 5'5 starts to look sickly when she is in the 170-180's. I have set my goal at 185. Just a number I pulled out of the air.

Mu question is:

What is your height/frame size and what is your goal weight? How did you decide on this number?

My goal weight is 170.  This would put me in the upper end of my healthy BMI range.

I chose the weight by using different amounts in the BMI calculator here to see what would be healthy and what wouldn't.  The mid point of my BMI would be 160.  Personally, I find this too low.  But who knows, I may re-evaluate once I hit my 170.

I'm a medium to big frame.
I am about 5'1" and currently weigh about 210... my goal weight is somewhere around 160... my ultimate indicator is clothes, when I get back to about a size 14 I will be there (or close)

I have a large body frame despite being short, so my perception of what I should weigh vs how I look vs what size I wear is kinda outta wack... so I am aiming for prepregancy weight... then we'll see from there :)
I'm 5'3'' with a very small frame and my weight goal is 113, I'm currently at 103 and I got 113 because that's what I felt comfortable at.
I'm between 5'10 and 5'11, and I'm currently at 175 with about 25% body fat. I'm aiming for about 145, which is in the bottom half of my "healthy" BMI range. Some of you might think this sounds low, but I'm 19 years old and very, very active. I've cleared it with my doctor. My body frame is between medium and large, but I have a lot of muscle.
i am 5'6" and my weigh in today was 130.8 and i would really love to get down to 125 but i dunno if my body will allow it. it takes me a very long time to lose weight.
At my heaviest, I was 223 (this was about two years ago).

Now, I am 165, which is the lowest I have ever been in my adult life.  I am 5'6", and my nutritionist would like me to be about 145lbs or so (Btw, Calorie Count BMI Index agrees w/ my nutritionist, saying that's a healthy weight for me!).

Right now, I am on an evil plateau that has lasted most of '07 (after steady losing most of '06). I started doing weight training, and am beginning to see the results in my measurements, if not my weight.

ALL of that being said (simple question you asked, complicated answer!), while it's hard for me to imagine being 20lbs lighter, since I am as small as I have ever been, I think 140-145 is just about right for me - especially if I could take it off of my middle (I am extremely apple-shaped, I have very narrow hips, and small legs and butt, but still have a bit of a "spare tire" around my middle and a broad back and shoulders).

Good luck reaching your ideal weight, everyone!
I'm a male 5'10" medium build.  This morning the scale said 183 after I got out of the shower.   So far I've dropped from 194.  My goal is somewhere in the 160s.  I was that weight about 1 and 1/2 ago.  Ultimately my goal is to not have this gut poking out.  It's a lot smaller but I still have a good ways to go.  My plan is to be there just in time for summer.
5'7 here and 143 is my middle range but I am shooting for 160 for now and will monitor my appearance at 10 pound increments.  I have 63 more pounds to go until I hit 143.
I think I'm within my ideal weight range right now (I'm at about 137lbs, and I'm just under 5'8''). My goal weight is between 115-120. It might sound low, but I have a tiny frame (all my fingers overlap when I wrap them around my wrist). I've been within that low range before and felt great, I was at my all time peak fitness-wise (running 5k 3-5 times a week, lifting more weight than I had ever been able to, and was eating around 1800 calories a day). Currently, I can run 5k at a slow pace, and I'm lifting about half the weight I used to lift, and I've got the muffin top going on so I know that 137 is not the ideal weight for me.
I am also 5'10", but I have a medium frame. I think most of the charts say I should be 150-170lbs. I want to be 170 and then will decide if I am happy there or not. I chose that number because that is 10lbs less I can ever remember being, and it just sounds like a good number.
5'9''
165 chubby but healthy
155 healthy but not 100% happy
145 thin goal weight
135 dream weight that may not be attainable since my topside would probably disapear.  I dont mean just my bust, I mean you wouldnt be able to see my toso haha  I am a MAJOR pear!

I would like to be 145 and FIT.

i'm 5'2 and my goal wieght is like 112-115, medical my ideal wieght could very from 104-128 and still be within a healthy range. i was 87lbs, then jumped to 125 after i started refeeding. i'm going to loose wieght healthfully this time with the help of my mom!
I'm 5'4" and have a small frame.  I have put my goal as 135lbs which is just under the upper end of my healthy weight range.  So another 36lbs to go until I get there.  Highest weight around 200lb

im 5'5 weigh about 115lbs right now.... small frame my ideal weight is 117lbs.... would like to be 108lbs...(no less) which would look perfect on me
5'6 here, currently 218, down 2 from starting last week ;o)

I have a med to large frame

My goal is 180, which is about a size 10/12

Every body is different & we carry the weight differently.

I'm going to be SO HAPPY to be 40 lbs lighter!!!!
I'm just under 5'4".  A good weight for me is around 130.  In my entire adult life (I'm 32) I've never been under 130.  My ideal weight (just my "fantasy ideal" ;) ) is 125 though.
5'3"+1/2" low end ideal:125; high end ideal: 135
I am 5ft4 and my ideal weight is 105lbs.
5'5", small to medium frame. Currently at 130 and would like to get back down to 120 lbs or my 25" waist. But we'll see, I have a feeling my body won't let me go back down that far. I'm happy where I am now, but would like to have some sort of shape to my body..hence the small waist I used to have. Although my goal is 120, I'd be happy just getting back down to the weight I was before the holiday break. (125lbs.) People talk about the freshman 15 going into college, I think the freshman 15 is gained when you go back home from college!
I'm 5' 2" the lowest weight that would be healthy for me is 101 lbs and medium weight would be about 125 and the highest I could be healthy at is 136.  I used a bmi on a different website.
