Ideas for easy meals 200cal. or less?
I've decided to start eating more than 3 meals a day, so low cal. meals will definitely come in handy!
200 calories is a snack, not a meal.
You could eat a soup or salad for 200 calories but even eating more than 3x per day I really think you need at least 300-400 calories to make a meal.
300-400 calories is as low as I would ever go for a meal. If you want filling foods try fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds.
An apple with a slice of cheddar and a small handful of raw almonds is an amazing booster for me and about 350 calories.
Sorry, can't help with that. But here are some resources you might find useful

1500 Calories in 6 Meals a Day It's easy to adjust the calories up or down by adjusting the portion sizes.
BOCA chilli. I thought it came with more than 1 container in the package because it was so low cal. but it was one big bowl for 150 calories. I added 4 diced baby carrots and half a red pepper diced it was very filling. I plan on buying it again.
Good luck. Also Boca burgers are 70 cals for the vegan ones.
I'm assuming you're still planning to have one or two bigger meals and just looking for ideas for the rest. You could try:
- soup with whole grain crackers
- any number of different salads (make sure to include sources of protein and fat in your salad: chicken, tuna, nuts, cheese, avocado, etc.)
- two scrambled eggs on whole grain toast; tomato on the side
- lots of veggies stir fried with a serving of chicken/tuna/tofu
- veggie omelette
- stuffed pepper (if the pepper is fairly small and the stuffing not overly high-cal; I have a nice stuffing recipe that combines corn, ground beef and a variety of veg; be creative)
- fruit with plain yogurt and a light drizzle of honey is a nice 100 cal dessert
To keep cals as low as you're looking to, you'll want to look for lots of veggies in the meal - but you still need to make sure your daily food plan is balanced and that the proteins/fats don't get pushed out by all the veg.
An egg sandwich. Take an anorlds sandwitch thin and 1/2 cup of egg beater and microwave it for 1:30 secs or untill solid take it out of the bowl and place it in the sandwich thin, add salsa or maybe some babybel cheese and finish it off in the microwave! :D
a cup of chili is a pretty good meal, its usually from 190 to 200 calories
Thanks for the ideas!!
i remembered another good one, stuffed cabbage rolls, they are fantastic!
I make a pretty awesome stir fry and it's super tasty. Comes to about 200 calories, depending on what veges and meat are used. I usually use seafood marinara
100g seafood mix
mixed veges of choice
SAUCE
30ml lime juice
Spenda/sugar
1 tbs soy salt (reduced salt preferbly)
1/2 tsp fish sauce
Chilli Powder
Crushed clove of garlic
1. Cook Seafood
2. Add Vege
3. Add sauce
4. Cook. Serve
Thats it. It's seriously awesome too :)
2 slices Natures own light wheat toast, 1/2 cup egg beaters, table spoon light spread. it's around 200.
Hungry Girl makes a cookbook that is all recipes for 200 calories or less.
