Ideas for a Wrap

Quote  |  Reply

Of course there's the classic onion/pepper/egg/cheese wrap filling...

...but has anyone done anything particularly weird but still really good?

One time I put some yogurt in the freezer for about 45 minutes so it was a little harder...spread it on a tortilla with some chopped apples and nuts...then wrapped it up and put it back into the freezer till it was fully frozen.  It was really good; I had it for breakfast.

Another time I took this eggplant dip that I love to make - it's sort of like baba ganoush except with onions and peppers and stuff - and wrapped that up with a crumbled veggie burger.

Does anyone have particular favorites?

Tuna and beans

Egg beaters and jalapeño peppers

Chicken and veggies

peanut butter and banana or kiwi

Boca burger cut up with veggies

Cottage cheese and jalapeño peppers, veggies

Turkey and cheese

i rarely eat these.. but i love peanut butter and jam wraps, as well as turkey and cheese wraps.

also, another time i put some spaghetti sauce, parmesan cheese, green pepper pieces and a little leftover chicken into a wrap and made a pizza wrap sort of thing; pretty good too.

sprouts, green olives, and goat cheese. this is SO good!

i take a wrap, put turkey, shredded mozzarella cheese, and a small amount of leftover (refrigerated) tomato sauce. people say it sounds gross but it's actually very good and simple, quick, and easy..

also, some other regulars are..

egg beaters and shredded mozzarella cheese

pb & j

love this... sliced sundried tomatoes, goat cheese or fage, and roasted chicken breast... yummy!

Hummus and baby spinach leaves. Eating it as we speak cos I had one wrap left from my fajita kit of 8 after doing fajitas for lunch for me and my bf and 2 cold fajita wraps for our packed lunch tomorrow.

chive and onion cream cheese

sliced cucumber

sliced tomato

shredded carrot

sunflower seeds

= yummy and quick

black beans, shredded cheese and salsa = protein and vegetarian (if you consume dairy)

Mmm some of this stuff sounds super good!

Sometimes I like to use SF pudding.  :D

sautee some red onions and red bell peppers in a pan... once soft (about 8 minutes), add 1/4c black beans and heat through. Add to a whole grain wheat tortilla with some scrambled egg whites and a tbsp of salsa.

Yum.

Spread a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese on the wrap, add turkey or chicken, and roll up.

I like starting with a lettuce leaf, add some grated carrot, shredded red cabbage and grilled chicken strips topped with sweet thai chilli sauce. Very healthy and yummy!

I really like mountain bread wraps. My fave filling would have to be a mexican style: refriend beans, salsa, lettuce, tomato, carrot, cheese and sour cream, toasted. I also like to add tuna or chicken with that. Simple, but yum!
