I have never tried the "Idiot Proof Diet", but honestly, if you look around this site and use the tools provided, you will find many good tips on how to lose weight and keep it off! In other words, not just "go on a diet" and then gain all the weight back when you go off the diet, but really learn how to make a lifestyle change in the way you eat, exercise, etc. Sorry, I'm not much in the way of help, but good luck!
I remember reading about that before I ended up at CC+ (in fact, i might have found cc+ because i was looking for an explanation of how it works).
If it's what I am thinking of, it promises something like 14lbs in 11 days.
My opinion - don't bother. I'm a little annoyed that your doctor would recommend a quick fix diet that has to be a) mostly water weight b) easily gained back.
Slow and steady - figure out how many calories you burn, and how much you should eat to lose. In my opinion, that is going to be much more useful then spending a lot of money that, even if it gives you the promised results, won't be a lasting solution.
Sorry - I guess i wasn't much help either.
