I'll be 43 this June anyone around the same age want to join my weight loss quest?
Greetings!
I am hoping that this site I stumbled on will help me out. I have been on a diet or fighting with food my entire life. About 8 years ago I lost about 100 pounds, my lowest weight was 204 then I had my first child at 40. Now I am 220 and he'll be three this June. The only good news is that I do not weight 300 + pounds anymore having said that - No excuses, my food addiction problem has been out of control now since his birth. I try - and try - and try - and still nothing seems to be working. Maybe I can find a friend here who will help give me the strength I need to be healthy. I need to stay alive for my family.

Hey guys....Sorry I can't weigh in this week as I am still roughing it at the beach house. I'll be home on Sunday and dread the scales. I honestly have no idea what to expect. I didn't go crazy, but I didn't really "watch it" either. I did add a new before/after pic. I meant to get in and shoot some studio shots, but I decided to just post one from the other day. My brother and I were sitting out at a gazebo by the bay and he snapped a pic.
Have a great weekend!
Finally got home and weighed in this morning....I was up a pound, which isn't surprising. Not worried about it as it was an odd week being on vacation. I'll get back to normal this week and see how things go.

Wow....I rode my normal 15 mile ride last night and it about kicked my butt. ![]()
I was so busy the week before my vacation that I didn't ride...then on my trip I got in a few little short rides, but nothing serious. Then last night I had a little time before dark to go for a ride and I was literally gasping for air over the last couple of miles...and my legs were burning! Granted I was really pushing it to get there and back before dark, but I can't believe how tired I was...sheesh.
Amazing how quickly our fitness levels can drop, isn't it? But, the important thing is...you made it! Yay! And next time, it will be easier. Congrats on only gaining one pound on vacation; that's pretty awesome...and you'll probably drop it again this week, if you haven't already. Welcome home.
Yeah...I guess actually making it the whole way is a positive. I did another ride tonight and it felt much better. Even beat my best time on the 7 mile ride to the next town. I guess I had something to prove after yesterday. On the way back, it started raining again. Seems I am always getting caught in the rain, but it is kind of cool...slick bicycle road tires in the rain always add some excitement to the ride! ![]()

Biking in the rain - you're braver than me! I always have to slow right down because I'm afraid of wiping out. It's good that you got right back into it though, congrats on the best time!
Had a good week from a health standpoint. I ate well and I worked hard, so it was nice to see that pound that I gained on vacation disappear.

It was a good week for me as well. Yesterday it was raining so I didn't run, but today looks better so I'll go out after work. I'm back down what I gained last week, which is good.
Hope everyone had a good week too!

I'm noticing a trend...no change one week, drop extra the next. I'm down 3 lbs. this week, which puts my total loss at 25 lbs. I'm now 1/4 of the way to goal. Yayyy! Have a good weekend, everyone!

It wasn't to bad of a week for me either. My son is home from college for the summer, so its gonna be a crazy summer. Always is when he is home.
I haven't got back up to where I was before I got sick a few weeks ago with my exercising. Think it wil take me some time.

I don't even feel like entering my numbers, I am so stuck...just ditto me (pretty much for a couple months now). I have lots of physical activities planned this weekend and next week so I hope that it helps me move the scale. I think that stress is making it harder for me to get any loss, I am stuck at my desk and just am not even getting to walk around the office as much as I used to (I am really feeling like a desk potato). Tomorrow is another day, I guess I'll just keeping plugging away at it.

Sandy I totally hear you. I've been gaining and losing the same three pounds for months now. I don't know what to suggest, but enjoy your activities this weekend!
Hit the halfway milestone yesterday on my way to 1000 cycling miles. 500 down and 500 to go...
That's great Terry, congrats! It really does add up :)
Wow, Terry...that's amazing!
I'm going to weigh in early this week, because I'm going to a friend's cottage tonight through Monday and I won't have Internet access. I only ran twice this week instead of three times, because we're leaving right after work today, but I'm down again!
Hope you all had a good week :)

I usually weigh on Wednesday and post it on Friday, but I'll go ahead and post early this week, too. I'm still not back into my exercise routine the way I want to be, but I'm down this week.

Heck yeah! Nice that everyone is down this week. I have no idea. I have been eating a little more and I didn't get in as much riding as I would have liked, but we'll see. Congrats guys!
I am REALLY getting frustrated with my lack of endurance lately. In the last two weeks, I have been struggling to ride 20 miles on my road bike. Tonight I started having pain in my side and cramping in my stomach after 6 miles. I went on to ride 18, but I was struggling. The bad thing is that I have a 55 mile charity ride scheduled for Saturday morning.
