Is it illegal to...
place Obama stickers over the McCain/Palin signs in my neighborhood? lol j/k I wouldn't do that... BUT, every time I walk my dog I'm SO tempted to!
(evil grin)

I don't like the Nobama stickers because you have no choice. You either support him or support McCain. Just stick the McCain sticker on your car and be done with it. Otherwise you're just wasting my time with your so called "opinion" which is really just an anti-opinion. =/
(That probably sounded a lot meaner than I felt, haha!)LOL! Since when are you worried about sounding mean? j/k
Hahahaha! Sometimes I wish politics could be friendlier... ^^; (I know, I might as well wish for the moon in hand...!)
The house down the street from us has an Obama sign AND a McCain sign. Either the homeowner has a split personality, or there is more than one voter that lives there.
I'm going to post what I'd told someone else about the signs from another thread. . .
It seems like there is a Mc.Cain sign everywhere you look. It infuriates me because Obama signs are destroyed. I have friends that have put them up four and five times now. Each time someone either takes a bat to them while they're gone or paints them. It was on the news in Edmond. I don't know if you heard about it but seriously. It's like people in Oklahoma are only allowed Mc.Cain signs. I put one out and it was ' missing ' four days later. It's insane. NOBODY touches the Mc.Cain signs though right next door. That's fine. ( This is in good neighborhoods too. )
I should calm myself... Seriously. Nobody wants to get me started on the signs. They didn't say on the news what was painted across them... but... I'm sure you can guess.
( I've seen a lot of Obama signs out in Nichols Hills. I think there would be a lot more in Edmond as well as other parts of Oklahoma if they weren't kidnapped or destroyed. I would never do something so disrespectful in attempt to smothers someone's freedom of expression/speech.)
P.S. I'm sorry but there are too many racist hicks. I don't even think they live in our neighborhoods. It's ridiculous. They best be careful or some crazy Oklahoman might shoot them off their lawn.

I think you made a valid point though. =-P! It's like seriously! Stop protesting Obama... and start supporting Mc.Cain. I think it would be more beneficial to their campaign. He needs all the help he can get!
I saw this great t-shirt the other day-- went something like, "Vote for Obama, He Sucks Less". Now, that would be something I could support.
Hahaa!
I think a lot of people feel that way, Javagen.

Opposites attract! Their kids will be confused. Half Dem/ half GOP.... Some homes are actually split up that way.
My mother and father used to go head to head during political elections. They did not agree one bit. It was hilarious to watch them during debates. My mother would cheer as my dad muttered profanities beneath his breath. The moment he started to high five or applaud in agreement she would snort.
It was the best and worst of times. They each actively supported the other. People thought our yard/car was very very confused! However, they raised us kids knowing we should support/believe whatever we felt was right. In my view that's a lot better than kids that grow up saying " I'm voting for ___ because I was raised ____. "
Interestingly I just spent a week in ARIZONA of all places and didn't see a single McCain sign or sticker. Hmmmm...
But to answer the question if the sign is on someone's property than I imagine it is illegal to do anything to it.

The law is the least of someone's problem in my view. I'd be far more concerned with the residents. RUN RUN RUN ... Some people take trespassing and vandalism very seriously.
Since my first my Obama sign was stole I replaced it. I put a right to bear arms sign up right next to it! Fair warning?! My sign hasn't been touched yet....That's right! FEAR the SIGN.
I'm a huge Obama supporter, especially after watching all the debates and my addiction to CNN lol. I just love how McCain said 5 mos ago he was going to lead a respectful campaign, but someones getting desperate now. Suddenly, Obama's a terrorist!!!
It's sad to say I have no sign. I did order a button though!

I'm only a teen but for the longest time i've been a democrat because in my opinion the republicans have messed up our government and all that stuff. im so happy bush will never ever be in office again.

As much as I love that statement, I think that people should be democrats/republicans "and all that stuff" because they actually know the issues and respect them. Nobody should vote a ticket just because they think the last person in office did a bad job. We have had many democrats in office do crappy jobs too....doesn't mean that I'd vote for them again if given the chance.
As my candidate was stabbed from behind, and beat out by the knife holder.... the signs and bumper stickers from this campaign don't elicit too strong of emotions... it's a lesser of two evils mind set for me now.
What really makes me wanna grow a set of horns however is the stupid jerks who still have their BUSH 04' bumper stickers up!! Blind, stupid....or do they just not want to mess up the paint job?

Just as bad are the McCan't. I am an Obama supporter, but that was just bad.
Actually I refuse to watch campaign commercials anymore.. they are HORRIBLE and I don't think that either party should be allowed to do that any more.. Tell me why I should vote for you, not why I should NOT vote for the other guy! grr
Im not american but posting signs in my canadian city could get you killed!!!

Wow, that's scary. I've never been one to post signs, have bumper stickers or even discuss who I was voting for.. but I was happy when I saw about 4 houses on our block display Obama signs.. but then all these McCain signs started popping up and I felt I had to back up my Obama neighbors! haha
Maybe I shouldn't even get involved though. It's funny how the people with the McCain signs are all neighbors I dislike. They are hypocrytical Christians and they make my skin crawl. When this sweet elderly couple moved in across the street from me they were litterally ousted by the neighbors because they found out the husband was a Protestant. When we first moved in they sent over fresh baked breads with little cards inviting us to their church.. but when we never went.. they slowly stopped speaking or waving to us.. hahah And we've been there 5 yrs almost! There are only 5 neighbors that I'm friendly with. One has a McCain sign, 1 has an Obama sign (that little old couple) and the other 3 have no signs... Maybe I should stick with the no-signers.

That's.....weird. Where the heck do you live? I've got Obama AND McCain neighbors and they are all pretty much equally nice.
My address is Cedar Park, TX but I'm practically on the border between Cedar Park and Austin... yea, it's weird! When I moved there from California I could have sworn all the housewives were really 'aliens' or robots.. haha They all drive huge SUV's and wear spandex jogging attire and pink Longhorns baseball caps.. it's creepy.
Anyway, I shouldn't have lumped all the McCain sign holders into one lump.. like I said, I am friendly with at least one McCain loving neighbor and I do have many coworkers that are voting Republican.. :)

I wouldn't like McCan't either. However, I have never seen one as I live in a dominately red state. I didn't even know they existed.
Pretty much the only "anti-opinion" type stickers I can tolerate are the ones that say "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him" AFTER the election because at least the person went out and voted.

I like these too.

Yeah, I'm in East Cobb Georgia. My poor mother, as anti-social as she is to begin with, has no friends. These people are very obnoxious about prying into your religious life. Unfortunately, my mother is a vhement athiest. =/ She didn't used to be, she used to be very tolerant and has even read the Bible, but after having so many people breath down her neck and judge her, she has just totally closed up. I feel bad for her. Clearly, that's her own pessimistic issue, but it's definitely a very high pressure situation in some places.
Although I am friends with republicans, this has been a very difficult election for me to discuss with them. I didn't really used to care so much who won, although I voted in my party in the primaries, but some things have enraged me to a point now where I simply can't discuss it. I really hate that feeling.
