I'm new to this site. Is this a good site? I'm trying to lose about 15 pounds, and get more fit.
Hi Angie, yes a very good site. Welcome. Log your activities and what you eat everyday. Figure out how many calories you should eat a day and make sure to eat enough. Don't go on any "diets" just change your diet and eat clean/balanced. Workout 4-6 days a week. Mix it up cardio/weight training. Keep moving.

This site is great for helping you become more AWARE of yourself. You'll find this site helps you be aware of your food, aware of your exercise, aware of your scale fluctuations (weight log) and aware of your emotions along the way (journal) and how all those things combine into a healthy lifestyle. There are lots of people on here willing to talk you through issues (some good advice and some bad!) and lots of educational tools available as well.
You can't lose weight until you know why you gained it in the first place. The site can be helpful in making you accountable.
The best advice is to just stick to it. Be prepared to make life changes!

I just started useing this site about 2 weeks ago and already I have lost 6lbs. If you log what you eat and how much you work out etc, you will be amazed on how much more concious you'll become of your habits and what you need to do to change certain ones.
