I'm not ashamed...
to wear a bikini! I just looked at some pics of "screen sirens" from years past, and for those of you who remember the era, Jayne Mansfield had cellulite to go along with that big chest of hers! There was a pic of her in a bikini, and she didn't have 6-pack abs, and there was a bit of cellulite on her thighs!
I always knew that some of the pin-up gals were "full-figured" but after seeing that picture of Jayne I know that Hollywood was much more accepting of a woman's body. Cool!
Here's the link if anyone's curious as to what I'm talking about; hope it works!

As a man myself, all I can say is that seeing a skeleton in a bikini brings no pleasure and causes one to think that something's wrong physically or mentally amiss with the skeleton (Teri Hatcher comes to mind: *shudder*; she was much, much better looking when she was more full-figured in Lois and Clark).
All I can say is that modern "sirens" have nothing on Raquel Welch or Cheryl Ladd...

Word.
I wished for more curves here and there, but wasn't blessed with a busty/hippy figure. More power to women who have and flaunt those curves though.

hehehe -- i was too cheap to buy a maternity suit when I was pregnant so I wore my bikini the entire way through -- i figure if i wore it with that big of a belly i shouldn't be ashamed to wear it now
I did that too, Kat! I thought I was stylin.
Yea! Good for you! I read somewhere once that Marilyn Monroe, THE sex kitten of all times, actually wore a size 12! And in my opinion she looked damn fine in her size 12's!
Wonderful post. Couldnt agree more.
While we are at it, let's also remember the beauties of the great master artists of the 19th century. In particular I love the depections by Bouguereau, Alma-Tadema, John-William Waterhouse, Eugene Delacroix, and Godward.

Cheers to being a size 12.
