HELLO EVERYONE!. i don't know if any of you remember me, but i was here on the forum almost a year ago, last summer. then i took off to europe, israel, and egypt for three months. was an incredible trip!
anyways, got back to good old TO in january and now i'm just getting back into normal life. it's definitely not as exciting as backpacking. :( but at least no more hostel beds!
so, when i was travelling, it being the oily middle east and all, and me not so much thinking about eating right.. i basically gained all the weight i'd lost in the summer back plus a couple pounds. this may sound rather depressing, but it was only about 10-15 pounds, and i don't care that much because i learned so much about eating healthy and treating my body right last summer that's stayed with me, and now i plan to get back into it.. FOR GOOD!
plus, i'm doing a lot of research starting from the ground up. meaning, i'm looking at the 6 essential nutrients humans need daily, and what foods supply them. what we basically need to live and be healthy, because i think that's a really good way to go about it. i know me and probably a gazillion other people eat without knowing what exactly they are eating, and it just feels so much better to KNOW! and it's kinda fun too :)
for example today i ate 3 kiwis because they are full of wonderful omega 3 fatty acids! lol
anyway, as of april first, (tomorrow) i'm back in the game. if you've managed to keep reading all the way up to here,.. well hi again everyone... and how goes it?

awww, I was going to post about your dreads, because I have them too.....

I have been thinking about cutting mine as well. A friend of mine was actually able to brush hers out...was incredible. She's had them for 4 years like myself but I think mine are a bit tighter so maybe that's why it was do-able.

what 6 essential nutrients are you talking about. Last count, I thought there were well over 50, by the time you add up all the different amino acids for the protein, and all of the essential fats and vitamins and minerals, not to mention fiber and water.
so I'm very curious which 6 you refer to.

jenna: haha, yeah, they're gone now, had em for two years though, and kudos to you! lol there's no way i could've brushed mine out, and the lady had to wash my hair like 3 times in a row afterwards it was pretty yucky..:) but rock on sista you should post a picture!

Welcome back. Egypt, I am jealous. Would love to go someday. I bet it was amazing to try all the different foods. I love to explore other cultures, I want to take my son backpacking when he gets older.

I checked out your profile. Stevie Wonder?! That's awesome, I am a huge fan. I am also learning to play guitar. I am a whopping 2 weeks into it! You are very beautiful and that picture of your twin brothers is great,what a priceless expression! Lol.

taking your son backpacking sounds like a great idea. i had a lot of fun in europe with my dad, he's quite the adventurous guy. :P
and awesome about the guitar. i play piano primarily, but i can also squeeze out a few songs on the guitar. it's a good instrument to learn, good luck!
