I'm still a binger afterall...

I used to diet and than got too skinny.

Now Im trying to gain weight. I thought it'd stop me from binging cause I let myself eat a lot more than I used to (quantity and types of food-wise). But I'm still a binger afterall.

Well, at least I'll gain the weight. Cause I don't feel as guilty about the binges as when I was dieting. But its just not the healthy way to gain weight.

Sigh. Sorry, just had to vent.

if you are still underweight your body may still be wanting all those extra calories because its hungry and wants to be fed! this happened to me. When you get to a healthy weight the urges to binge will subside. Make sure all your meals have one carb, one protein and one fruit or veggie. it makes for a balanced day because all your meals are balanced and you wont need to binge.

Thanks for your reply.

Yeah, I'm still underweight.

But I think one of the reasons I also binge is stress/emotional eater. I've been stressed to the max for the past few weeks. So I've been going on tons of sugar binges as well :( Tonight I binged till I was uncomfortably full.... and still ate some more.

And its not even like I went under-cals today or anything. I had a massive high cal mexican lunch (got a combo platter of chimichangas, enchiladas, burritos, calamari,..... had full fat sour cream, cheese, guacamole, etc with it.... and than dessert as well :)
But I totally binged and totally lost it for dinner.

How about trying to find other, more constructive ways, to cope with stress than constantly centering it around food?   What is the source of the stress and could you tackle it directly?  Are there other ways you could find to relax?  As a safety-net could you remove your favourite sugary binge foods from your house/environment so that you don't have the option to eat them.. even if you wanted to?

Stress happens... Work out now what you're going to do in advance of the next episode.  Have a game plan.  If you've thought about something beforehand it's a lot more likely to happen than if you just roll with the punches.

that is my BIGGEST fear!  I was always a binger who became a restricter who reverted to binging who then restricted and now I am here.  Just want to be ok now.  How do you make it stop for good?  I am trying counciling for it I suggest you do the same if you haven't.
