im bummed..
i know i need to just let this go, but i worked out 5 days this week, REALLY hard, and i didnt go over my calories at all, and i was like im so going to loose 2 pounds for sure, and then i gained .5 pounds! and yeah it is that time of the month, but ive never really weighed myself on it before i guess? so im REALLY hoping that i lost 2 pounds or something, but i just am bloated with like water weight or something? i was really looking forward to weigh in day, which was yesterday morning, it just bummed me out. ![]()
Dont be bummed!
It could totally just be water weight--Aunt flow on its way?
Re-evaluate what you ate during the week..and be honest. I know that I sometimes like to "forget" that I ate a slice of chocolate cake...or had a handful of Lays..but even if you block out those slip ups, your metabolism and body will not be fooled. Replace the calorie dense snacks that you may have eaten with fruits or veggies...
What about muscle mass? Take out the tape measure-if you dont already own one, no better time to buy one!-and see if you may have lost or maintained inches..sometimes the scale can lie!
If you are doing everything right then I can almost promise you that since it is that time of the month for you, you are holding on to water weight. I do this all the time. One month I wasn't seeing any change for a good ten days...if anything I might have gone up. But afterwards, the water came off and I was down my two pounds!
No worries, girl! Wait a bit, keep eating right and you will see the results...just a little delayed, is all.

I got back on the scale yesterday and not only were those 3 lbs gone, I'd also lost another lb. So I'm sure it's just water weight. TTOM is no fun, and it really does make you gain weight. So don't be discouraged and don't give up. Wait a week and I'm sure you'll lose all the weight.
