I'm SO confused. Could someone help me figure everything out?
So, the summer of 2008 I weighed 120 pounds, now I have weighed 140 for over six months. The weird part is that I still fit in all my jeans/clothes fine. Some jeans are a little snug, but for the most part all the size 5s still fit perfectly. My bras are the only thing that needed replacing (32B to a 32D). I went through a depression (and recently came out of it about three months ago... YES!!!) and thats when the scale number went up even though my body stayed mostly the same.
Now I'm a little lost: I don't like being 140 since it makes me feel heavy, and I want to be back to in the 120s (I'm 5'6" by the way), but I don't want my body to thin out too much (just like one dress size max).
How do I go about reducing weight without getting too thin?
Thanks for reading my rants!
What difference does it make what the scale says? If your clothes still fit, you haven't visibly gained any weight. No one can tell. Larger boobs probably make you look shaplier. What is the problem?
Maybe your scale is out of adjustment.
Your BOOBS are bigger which I would like to point out is almost every women's wish when they put on weight: to gain it in their boobs but instead it goes to less desirable places. Your CLOTHES fit the same. I put on 7-8 pounds and I cannot get my butt back into most of my jeans without having a problem with lovehandles and the pooch on my stomach. I went up just a dress size but am pissed.
If you get smaller, your boobs will shrink and all your clothes won't fit anymore.
I really don't see the point in this topic. You have no reason to complain at all.

Lose muscle and retain fat.
try stepping up your exercise even if its just walking to tone what you have. Everyone feels different about their body and you feel uncomfortable at your current weight. I think just adding a little walking or swimming or any other form of exercise will help you feel better. 140 is nice size everyone wears their weight differently.
add some exercise and monitor your weight. if you are nibbling sweets.. slow them down a bit... still have some to enjoy but just a little less.. lots of small things you can do to make yourself feel better and lose just a little. I bet you look great at this weight though :)
Depending on your age your body may still growing at this stage. and might just be preparing to grow a little taller. :)
