Salmon is healthy.  The main risk is boredom.  If you eventually get bored you can alternate with other fish and other sources of protein.

There's no risk to eating good quality, fresh salmon.  But, as the other post says, why not try other types of fish?..... mackerel, fresh tuna and herring are other good oily fish.... and other foods as well.

Salmon and  other fish contain Mercury. Salmon less than some. I love tuna for lunch but limit it to twice a week or so because of that. Also you need balance. Maybe choose lean turkey or chicken a few days, eggs, or veggie burgers.

Me too!  Salmon is an expensive meat. =(

eating the small fish that are lower on the food chain will expose you to less toxins (heavy metals, pesticides, and other contaminants that tend to collect in fatty tissues).  it's also more sustainable ecologically.  the salmon, tuna, cod, etc. fisheries are all in big trouble.

i love salmon, too, but i'm trying to eat the little guys more often :)
