I'm facing my binge foods...
I had my afternoon snack of peanut butter, crackers and trail mix and this time is notoriously one of my most dangerous binge times. I'm sitting at my table in the kitchen with the massive trail mix bags (grinning full of its glorious raisins, cashews, and chocolate candies), a bag of dried fruit, and a jar of peanut butter staring at me.
You know what food? I had enough of you to satisfy my meal plan and my taste buds, I don't need to binge. I'm going to put you away and get something to drink now.
GOSH does that feel GOOD.
Any other triumphs/successes out there?
Wow, that's impressive. I'm not letting myself keep peanut butter in the house til I've hit my goal weight and maintained it for a month. Peanut butter and I get along far too well.
good for you. I'm in the same boat as you. my "hard" time is at night though. its so tempting to listen to your taste buds.
Hee :D! I managed to avoid eating before my preset time... at least so far.
SO YAY FOR SUCCESSES :D. So far.
peanut butter is a killer. Ironically i didnt eat it till i came on calorie count but with everyone talking about it i wanted to know what all the fuss was, so i bought my first ever jar, 30 mins later i was laying on the sofa spoon in one hand and empty jar in the other. 3 months and 6 jars later, ive vowed never to purchase another pot, not even one of the little ones.

i was sooooo the same way. I had eaten pb very occasionally, but then with everyone on the forums raving about it i decided to give it another go. BIG MISTAKE!!!
Now it's not allowed in the house.
the only thing worse than pb is nutella. At least pb has some nutrition, nutella on the other hand is just crap that tastes like heaven. Funnist thing is im allergic to milk so when i 'cheat' and buy nutella i eat the whole thing in a day or two, so that its gone and i cant cheat anymore, wheres the sense in that?
My weakness as well. PB, nuts, and crackers. It's hard to put them away once I get started. Especially at night for some reason I seem to crave these items. I've been holding strong but it's like a crazy addiction!!!
nuts and nut butters are total magnets for me. it takes serious willpower for me to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and not go for a bite of that sweet sweet peanut butter before capping the jar! i've put a self-imposed ban on shelled nuts in the cupboard...at least if they're in shells i have to work to get to them.
Not necessarily with Nutella but I do the same thing. I will go crazy and eat all of something that I think is "bad" in 2-3 days because then I think well at least I don't habe it in the house anymore!--yeah now it'll just go straight to my thighs (hah) It makes no sense! lol
you know i've been having trouble with this lately myself, except i go overboard. like an entir double quarter pounder meal followed by a couple of pb and j sandwhiches.
I never thought to pinpoint when in the day i had these troubles, but looking back its always in the late afternoon.
From I wake up till about 2 I'll be on point with my diet then all of a sudden I binge. It drives me crazy cuz around 6-7ish i've regained control, but that time window is killing me right now. At least i know the problem now.
Well done. I loooooooove that feeling, too. Usually I buy something thinking I'll be able to resist it (I'll just have one biscuit/a small amount of cashews/two squares of dark chocolate a day!!!) and then pig out, but the times I'm strong about it and am able to eat only a little (especially in the afternoon :-P) of something but truly enjoy it I feel great.
Wow congrats, thats awesome!
What great control you have.
Good on you!
