I'm Gonna Pee my Pants Waiting for November 4th
this is driving me INSANE!!! up until this last month, i've been a mostly uninterested, already decided voter. but then, i started watching the polls. and watching the news channels. and reading all the political blogs. and, i must say, i've overdosed.
i can't stand one more second of speculation, or cautious optimism, or dirty, derisive comments about a fellow citizen! this is worse than being a 6-year-old waiting for christmas! please, just let me vote already! i already know i'm gonna have a couple of coronaries watching the election results come in tuesday night, but the suspense leading up to the ultimate suspense is killing me!! argh!!!!
anyone else?
btw, my stupid state doesn't have early voting. that's one of the questions on this year's ballots. um, my vote will be yes!
Oh I'm so with you! I just want to vote already (we don't have early voting either)!
I'm just waiting for it to be done and over with so my husband will stop talking about the what-if's. Just name the damned future president and only tell me the gossip about that one. Hearing about both, especially the old fart, is too much.
i just want it to enddddddd!
i also can't wait to vote, MA has some interesting ballot questions.
I want it over with.
(I'm a Canadian and not of voting age, yet the election still causes me stress.)

that's messed up! i wonder how many other folks living outside america are freaking out over this election right now!
Oh me toooooo!!!! Let it end. I am so stressed!!!!
I'm from the UK and want it to end!!! Its all we here about on the news!!!
I was just thinking this yesterday, having early voted.
On the other hand, I cant believe that in just 4 days we will finally know which direction we'll be headed over the next four years. Ive endured eight years for this day of decision.
I still remember staying up all night in 2000 and finally crashing to wake with still no decision. Hoping this election night will be merciful. Knowing how close it still really is and how dependant upon who gets out there to actually vote, thinking it be easier to fall asleep early and avoid the suspense but knowing I will be glued to the channels. Yup, its a huge, huge deal to me.

I highly suggest that you don't attempt to wait till 11/4 to pee, then. ![]()
I'm looking forward to the end of election mail and robocalls, but other than that, the way I look at it, what other choice do I have?
If we had the TV on a news station, it wouldn't be the suspense that would get to me, but the idiocy of what is considered reporting and news commentary these days - my kids don't need to hear me muttering "dumb sh**" over and over.
Only one of my kids really grasps the concept of what elections are, and even then he would rather watch Pokemon. My youngest would just assume go outside and throw a football around, and I would be happy to join him. Me staying glued to the TV won't change the results, but my 6 year old will giggle his head off when his mommy attempts to throw a football and gets it stuck in a tree. 6 year old giggle vs. CNN - no contest. ![]()

Me too!
As I said in another thread, come election night and I'll be watching Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, live on the Comedy Channel. In fact, that's where I'm getting my news this week.
demanding_much - from your lips to God's ear! We are all worn out.
An amusing little link for how to get through the next few days - I like idea # 8 on the list, as it ties nicely into the PILF-thread:

haha that list is good!
that link cracked me up! thank you so much for that! ![]()

Wow. To consider them "news sources" really scares me. They are about as slanted and accurate as each candidate's ads. While Claire did caveat this as "this week", I am sure there are voters out there who believe they are reporting news.......
I think I'm going to go see a movie on election night.

*breaks out the champagne to toast G-Dub OUT of office!*

I know what you mean, but you'll still have to wait until the results come in anyway. That's the bigger suspense to me. At least with early voting, it's more convienant for workers or busy families. I love election day. I've got my day all planned...much more exciting than Halloween for me.
i may have to call in sick tuesday. i don't know if i'll be able to function at work!
