so im a guy and im supposed to have 680 cal a day huh?
680 calories? Dear god. I don't see that working for them very well. :p
Nah, I follow good advice. :)
Different folks, different bodies.
1,800 calories is probably too low to adequately maintain, but I guess numbers don't matter if 1,800 works for you. I wish I could maintain at 1,800.
But so many diet forums advise eating tiny amounts of calories... like exercise and diet so that you have 2000+ deficits! its unreal!
this guy did sit ups from off the side of his ship jesus christ.
anyways, that was neither here nor there. Sorry for the derail.
but on topic:
the only other forum I look at is bodybuilding.com. They are so hardcore there. These are the bodybuilders who only eat chicken, steamed veggies, brown rice, and protein shakes and shun everything else, and lift 6 days a week. So hardcore. I actually got on the wrong track at first, but I am going to visit there more often once I take up a lifting regimen when I come back from study abroad in July.
I stay away from all of those games like the plague.
Since you are japan, look up a sports show called Sasuke. Ninja warrior is the name they have given it for us american audience, as it is the closest translation they could find, IMHO. (sasuke was a famous ninja).
The show is like american gladiator with no story and Japan's intolerance of failure. ^_^. Back on topic, everyone.
Diet is a nasty 4 letter word. When I hear or see it, I move on. What I eat and don't eat is simply my lifestyle. It's different than it used to be, but it's not a diet. I think the term scares folks and maybe if they'd look at it differently, they might be more successful. Not eating fast food for instance, is just the way it is.
Now, I did try low carb once. I lost a couple pounds and decided to take pieces of so-called diets and used my own common sense to merge them into what I consider just my way of doing things. I tried that hideous NutriSystem. You can easily loose weight on that garbage because it taste no better than the box it comes in. Looks nothing like it did on TV. I threw it all away. I figured I didn't need to follow anyone else's plan. 40 pounds later, I think I made the right choice. No sugar, no salt, lots of exercise and water. Try it, works great!
