Goooood Morning!
hi everyone. I'm new to this site and trying to figure out how to navigate. How is everyone doing with weight loss? I am having knee replacement surgery in April and hope to drop some weight before the surgery. I haven't counted calories in a very long time. :):) Any tips??
Hello Diva, welcome to daily chat. This is just a place to hang out and have fun.
As for tips....oy. Many tips. First thing I would do before even starting to count calories..... get rid of any foods that have High Fructose Corn Syrup and Transfatty Acids.
I, myself, am hyperglycemic or boarder-line diabetic. I've learned that the best way to control hunger is eating a large amount of fiberous fruits and veggies. You'll find a lot of fiberous veggies are often lower in cals but will keep you feeling full.
A new trick I learned off CNN is to eat healthy fats about 10 minutes before you consume a meal.

Heya divakaren, and welcome to the Daily Chat!
Try the New Members forum for some weight loss guidelines. Only big tip that helped me get to where I wanted to be: Yagottawanna. Unless you really want to lose weight, you'll never have the willpower to restrict your calories to a healthy level. To flip that more positively, if you really want to lose the weight, you will (i.e. you'll stop eating once you hit your daily allowance of calories, which can be calculated under the Tools button).

No gloating? Well, don't say I wasn't (wo)man enough to take it.
Okay off to work. Have a good day!
BTW -- Pats kicked royal arse yesterday.
Bye Kim.

Because baseball is second only to college basketball.
