I'm SO hungry today
Usually I'm all good with about 1400 calories a day but today, it feels like my stomach is a bottomless pit. I really don't want to get back in the habit of inhaling anything I can get my hands on. Already lost about 20lbs and I REFUSE to put it back on. Is this normal? Have I been depriving my body of things it needs?
No good answer for you, just adding a me too! I ate more calories than usual this morning because I was feeling hungry on the food that usually stuffs me and I'm still hungry! I hope this doesn't go on all day.
Maybe you're just eating unhealthy foods. I just scrarffed down a couple of brownies, a cookie, and a raspberry tart... over 1000 cals and my goal is 1200 cals for the day... of course I'll be starving the rest of the day... So my suggestion is eat a huge salad for dinner with as little dressing as possible. That's what I'll be doing... And if you're worried about nutrition, maybe you should take a daily vitamin in addition to eating healthy foods. Something to keep in mind, foods that are high in added sugar, salt, and fat are not only higher in calories, but they actually increase your appetite, so you want to keep eating more all day.... Glad I'm not alone, I take a multivitamin and overall eat really well. Who knows, it like the devil/angel on my shoulders deal, one side is like chilli is ok for dinner but measure it out and the devil is like measure it out?! Hell no and get some cornbread while you're at it.

LMAO your devil and mine must have morning meetings about this.
Mine was the same old healthy food too. Egg whites, turkey bacon, greek yogurt with a little bit of fruit, all good stuff and usually so filling. Did you say you have cornbread? Pass it here?
are is close to your time of the month? I basically inhale everthing in sight a couple days before my expected period. This is pretty normal....although i dont know why lol
Are you getting enough protein & fat? Seriously, when I get totally ravenous I eat a nice ribeye & I'm good.

I'm here to commiserate with you, I'm feeling really snacky right now, I'm thinking that the only thing that will help me forget about food will be to go to sleep early (it's only 2018!). I too was aiming for 1400 for today- I'm at 1475 right now. A tall glass of water, a piece of gum and into bed with a good book- that's what I should do!
As an aside, I'm just around the corner from my tom as well...
j9gwen, I don't know if this will help you or not, but in the past when I wanted to eat more but was already at my limit, I would exercise and then eat it back.

Simply put, you need to eat a little bit more today, and you shouldn't feel guilty. Your body doesn't always confine itself to numbers; some days it needs less and some days it needs more. Try having some milk. It packs in calories and will make you feel full, but it is also really good for you so you'll be having the good kind of calories. If you still feel guilty, just exercise a little bit more tomorrow and you'll be right back on track.
I'm in this sinking boat right now too, and the ONLY thing keeping me from eating the blondees and muffins that I'm baking and are filling my house with smell and my kitchen with yummies is keeping strong cinnamon gum in my mouth. I stole one bite while baking, and it tasted nasty because of the gum...my trick is working! Hopefully this can work for you and your cravings. Keep the gum in your mouth, and try a bite of what you're craving. You'll change your mind.
Also just made a cup of chocolate flavored tea with a LOT of splenda...hoping that'll do the trick before I go nuts. Good luck ladies!
I can relate to this sometimes. I can eat a whole bunch of stuff and still find myself grazing. I think it's more of a nerves thing though that makes me majorly hungry or leads my mind to believe it is. Then I'll eat something and feel like crap. Haha. The gum tricks sounds great. Shall try it! :)
