For the past 2 weeks I've been eating 1600-2000 calories. A couple of days I'd only eat 1300-1500 but very few. And it's all crap-candy from Halloween and bad carbs like white bread, white pasta, white ravioli.
When I first begn cutting calories I was never hungry, easily eating only 1300 calories and sometimes only 1000 for days. Yes, I had a few days where I would go over like on holidays but not consecutively on normal days.
I don't eat that much during the day, but dinner blows me over the top and sometiems randomly snacking on reeses and snickers-really high-cal. Like 90 calories for a little bar. I threw all the reeses and licorice and most of the snickers out and I feell ike I'm wasting it and my Mom's been looking for it.
But,I probably wieght over 135 now. I can never keep to a certian calorie amount, I always end up gaining again even when eating 1500 calories usually. And I'm soo tired so today I couldn't even do my usual amount of running, I had to cut some time off.
And my stomach looks HUGE. I am such a failure. no matter how much weight I lose, it always comes back....
Reason: Locked as against posting guidelines. Promotion of starvation diets or habits that exhibit signs of an eating disorder ("pro-ana", "pro-mia", etc.) is prohibited.
Oh my...it sounds like you are really beating yourself up emotionally! You need to stop that immediately because you cannot change the past and berating yourself over it makes it harder to move forward. Take it one day at a time and choose a positive attitude for today (I find it much easier to do that on a daily basis than forever).
I was struggling with dinners a couple of months ago. Determining the nutritional information for home-cooked meals can be tedious and I didn't want to invest the time. To make it easier on myself, I purchased a cookbook that provides the serving size and nutritional information for each dish and includes recipes that are quick and easy to prepare. I also no longer print recipes off the internet unless they provide the same information. Since making these changes, the weight has really started coming off.
Sometimes in the evening when I am craving sweets, I dring a diet orange soda - it's only 25 calories but it's sweet enough to satisfy my craving for sugar. Crappy foods tend to make me feel tired too, so try to make sure your carbs are more complex and maybe try to add a little protein to your diet if you're not getting enough.
Good luck and I hope you get back on track soon!
I love diet orange soda! And diet Sierra Mist!
It's okay to have a period of slightly higher eating because in long run it's just drops in the bucket. You will continue on your maintenance/weight loss plan and everything will be fine. Also 1000 - 1300 calories is too little for you. It's true. So don't argue. Also, please stop working yourself into a frantic state, or at least stop posting the frantic ravings where everyone on this forum can read them.
(I totally thought someone on this forum had gotten on Biggest Loser from the title.)

I try but I don't make the dinner sin my house. I would if I had a choice!
You're 13, 5'5", 125 lbs....be happy and healthy...you will never be 13 again, do you really want to spend this time (and years to come) being miserable?
Good Luck
The point is that I ask different things. I asked about intuitive eating once and now I stopped and I don't weight 125-you didn't bother to look at my post, you just assumed I was asking the same things-I weight 130. I don't want to be miserable but I will be if I stop.
No, I'm not assuming...I did take a look at all your posts before I replied to this topic. YOU are assuming. Almost all of the posts you have started are in the same vein. Again, like gi-jane & others have told you on other threads; 1500 is most likely too little for you, that is why you're over-eating. Did you use the links that you were given to find your BMI and what calories you need? If you did you would see at 130 lbs your BMI is healthy (21.7) and your calorie intake would be 1,890 if you were inactive.

Also, have you considered the fact that your body might be changing from a little girl's to that of a woman?
Look, I realize you're 13...I remember being 13 & being confused/OCD/ignorant, etc. about a lot of things too. I just wanted to let you know that it's your choice......you can spend your teen years being obsessed and unhappy with your body or you can take the advice that has been given and make educated, intelligent decisions.
I wish someone had taken the time to tell me that when I was 13.
It's easy for you to assume you would have listened to people like gi-jane when you my ag enow that you're a married adult who is comfortable with yourself. But you might not have and it's not easy. Not at all. And I just can't do it yet.
If you cannot listen to the sensible and healthy advice we are giving to you, becase you aren't comfortable with yourself, I have to suggest you talk to a professional about your confused thoughts and undereating.
If you are not losing weight on 1500 calories (you say you gain on this amount?) you need to see your doctor for a medical condition. On this website we do not support any teenagers eating less than 1500 calories. That is the bare bones minimum. In fact, we really want teens to be eating more than 1500 calories.
Calorie Count's mission is to promote healthy and sustainable weight management. We do not support starvation diets, less than 1500 calories IS a starvation diet.
