Hi guys,
I recently joined a YMCA, and have been going to classes for weeks now. Today I arrived at my spin class to find it was full. Another nice woman recommended I go to "Gravity"..... hands down, this has been one of the best parts of my week!
I didn't know about it before today, so here's a link in case some of you are interested:http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18402393/
For anyone who might have some insight, could you recommend what I could log this as? Weight lifting? We didn't do anything I would call cardio, it was all strength training.
It was so great~~~
This kind of looks similar to the Total Gym that Chuck Norris and Christine Brinkley have been advertising over the years. The Total Gym is also on a slide board/cable system and it uses varying degrees of difficulty, implementing your own bodyweight as the resistance.
Should I log it as light weighlifting then? All I know is that cc gives that about 130 cal/hr, and I am WAY too sore today for it to have been so little!
I can't wait to go again!
Yeah I would definitely log it as weightlifting because you were doing resistance training. Technically you weren't "lifting weights", however you were using your own bodyweight for resistance. Either way, it is strength training.
