I'm moving to Charlotte, NC, advice is needed!

Anyone out there living in Charlotte? I am looking for a place to rent online and was wondering which areas are shady vs. safe. I'm hoping to find something that is within 15 mins from UNCC, and also close to Uptown. Suggestions? How do you like living there?

I'm in the Lake Norman area, not far from Charlotte.  I have lived here my whole life, but only 7 years in this area as I am originally from Hickory, NC.  I love it here & wouldnt want to live anywhere else.  I will do some research for you as to what areas are most safe as compared to others.  If it were me, I would want to live uptown, but its expensive.  Let me see what I can find for you.
