I'm in need of low cal buns!
Wonder bread used to make an awesome low cal bun (80 cals), and now I can't find them anywhere. I'm not sure if they stopped making them or what, but I need to find an alternative low calorie bun for my veggie burgers.
Any news out there? I was thinking of just using a tortilla or some bread, but a bun is really what I'm wanting.

I put veggie burgers on english muffins instead of buns. Thomas' makes multigrain light ones that are only 100 calories. Definitely need to be toasted, though.
I do this exact same thing!

Here in the Midwest we are able to get a low calorie whole wheat bun from a company called Village Hearth. We just love them. They are 100 calories.
Here's a link to their web site.

They have a map of their coverage area.
Good Luck.

I don't know if they have them in your area but I usually get mine at Price Chopper, Hannaford, Or Wal-Mart.
Broil them for about 10 minutes (5 on one side 5 on the other) with just a touch of oil and basalmic vinegar.
They have 1/4 of the RDA of B12, good if you are a veggietarian and lacking in that vitamin, and only 25 calories each "bun."
They have a kind of bready, meaty texture and flavor.
Con: It can get expensive.
Am I the only one who saw the topic headling & thought the post was going to be about butts?
Anyway, I love these: http://www.foodforlife.com/procart_catalog/in dex.cfm?ProductID=36&do=detail
They freeze like a dream! I keep them in the freezer with my veggie burgers.

My grocer told me Wonder might be headed into Bankruptcy which is why those buns are MIA. I can't find 'em either right now...
Oh yea, and I am in AZ too... best place I have found them is FRYS signature stores. 101 and Shea in Scottsdale is one.
Why do I have yellow hands and feet?
