I have not formally introduced myself but I'm Nicole.
Im in recovery for anorexia and am struggling right now. Im attempting recovery and staying out of the hospital. Checking my weight would be triggering. But I feel like I have to know.
Any reasons why I shouldnt check my weight?

Reason: anorexia is a health related issue and does not belong in the young calorie counters thread since these are simply young people trying to lose/maintain a healthy weight :)
uuum..you already said it. it would be triggering. part of recovering is avoiding those things that you KNOW will lead to a relapse...if checking your weight has that power then you're basically saying recovering is not as important as KNOWING. even though KNOWING is really going to do nothing for you because ultimately your goal should be the same regardless right? you need to gain, in fact you HAVE to gain if you want to stay out of the hospital so act according to what will lead to recovery.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
