Today is my first day.

Here's a little about me. I'm 24, female, and weigh 260lbs right now. My body mass index is just about 42%, which is insanely crazy. I've stopped ovulating as a result.

Walking gives me difficulty.

So, why I'm here? If what I've written here isn't a good enough reason, I am a single mom to a four year old, very, very active little boy. I love that guy, and I have a really hard time keeping up with him. I'd like to be able to hang out and actually DO things with him.

Also, I'd like to have nice clothes for once. ^_-'

So there it is. I'm going to do my darndest to reach my goal. I need to lose 123 pounds, and my goal is October of 2010.

Wish me luck!

Welcome to c-c,  This is a great place to start.

I have two four year okd greandchilderen and I know how much energy it takes to keep up with them.  They come equipt with their own everyready batteries.

Take him for a lot of walks to the park.  Swinging is great exercise.

Actually, playing with him at the park is one of my listed excercises. Also, I have to walk for 1 hour, so I go to the park and just walk around when he plays.

Hmm.. how many calories do you think swinging burns? ^_-

My burn meter is sitting at 1000 above my calorie count, Is that good? Should it be more, less?

I'd really like to know.

Welcome! You came to the right place! I started here in January @ 277 lbs and am now down to 225. There is lots of information here so snoop around and get familiar with the site. 1000 calorie deficit is probably fine for you since you have a lot of weight to lose....just make sure you are eating enough of all the right things to keep you satisfied and energized. Good luck!

Thank you. :) I do have alot of weight to loose.

I'm eating 1532 calories a day, and burning between 2300-3000 calories.

This was an accidental double post.... soo... er...

bump?

WELCOME!!!!

You can do this!!! I'm almost at 100 lbs lost.   Lots of great advice around here!  :)

Woohoo! Just got my test results back. They tested me for everything.

Sooo.. My thyroid pills are keeping up my metabolism just fine, No diabetes, no high cholesterol, no high blood pressure, my cardio gram was perfect, and my kidneys are just fine.

So I'm free to do what I want as far as weight loss goes. ^_^

After watching my food log, my grade stays between B and A, but my sodium is a bit high, should I worry?

Yay! Good for you! The grades don't really mean much so don't worry about  that.. As for the sodium, try to keep it under 2400mg .

Oh my...

I thought my sodium was high at 1,792mg.

So I'm still okay?

Good luck!

Your gonna feel and look great within no time :)
