im new and could use some motivation/suggestions/anything
im a 22 y/o female living abroad (in Tunisia now) and I want to loose some of the weight ive gained (im guessing 10-15 pounds) from ending constant soccer playing in November, emotional eating, living abroad (in Rome Jan-May, Tunisia May-Aug)... i will be returning to america in 2 weeks (!!)
the food here really is different so its difficult to eat healthy like i did in america (i just know that whole grain and fruits/veggies are good)i need some help/suggestions which will help me resist eating everything I will miss here and everything ive missed in america...
as far as goals im 5'10" and about 180 lb, ive been going to a gym for the last month and eating healthier (slipping up on some days) also ive been keeping a food journal.
my now goal is to look slimmer/feel better/eat healthier by the time i return home
my short term goal is to get down to 165 lb
my long term goal is to get to 140 lb before 2011 (wedding!)
Hello,
Wow I'm surprised to hear that the food is not better overseas. All I ever hear is how bad we are here in North America with all of our fast food joints.
A food journal is the way to go. I have lost 18 pounds now. I have found it really helpful to create food tags and exercise tags in my Calorie Count account. At least I can see if my burn meter is significantly higher than my intake. It sounds like you are on the right track. There was a thread on food journals by the CC Nutritionist. She not only suggested it but everyone that has kept one (on the thread) was able to loose weight and praised it. Counting calories and abiding by it is how you loose. Good Luck!![]()
