That is horrible to type!!!  But i am 28 yrs old 5'3" and I'm 150LBS!!!  I am trying to lose 35 lbs to get to 115.  I've always weighed 115 even after having my daughter but i have gained some weight in the past couple (2-3) years and im sick of it.  I feel like a hog.  I am counting calories and starting out light on exercising to build myself up.  I was very active until i hit about 25 then i was just like blah, but kept eating like i was still playing softball 4 days a week. Plus i quit smoking last january (yay me!) so im sure that added to it.   Do I have a TWIN out there???  I am looking to add some friends for support. Smile

hiya :) im 22, 5'4'' and 145. my goal weight is also close to urs, i can be yer buddy:) was 123 lbs but then i gained it all back after my wedding.. uffff
I am 32 and 5'1 at 170lbs your not the only one out there.. :) I am shooting for 50lbs in 6months.. We can do it stay positive and count your calories girl we will get there

I know what you mean. I am 28, 5'3" and 166lbs. My goal is 127, which I think I was when I was 12. I started counting calories on the first and exercising 4 days ago. I have found this site very helpful in keeping motivated.
I also quit smoking in May. I figured if I could do that, then weight loss should be a easier.

I think you are my twin!!!  Congratulations on not smoking!!!  You sound exactly like me..if i can quit smoking I can surely lose a little weight!!!!  I started all my calorie watching and exercising on Monday (Jan 07) also!! 

Lissasue--I WAS you about 8 months ago, and I would love to cheer you on throughout the process!  I'm 26, 5'3'' and currently 105 (started at around 155).

Congrats on quitting smoking! I quit for good in September 07 and am super-excited about it, too!

Well if we are not twins, we could be pretty close- I am 5'3 and currently 144 lbs- my heaviest was 154 and my lightest was 112 (too thin for my frame, I looked malnourished!) My goal is to be 127 by July 1st- and stay that way!

I would be honored to lose weight with you. Keep it up!

You sound like my twin as well.  I am 28 years old weighing 150 lbs and trying to lose 25 lbs to get to 125 lbs.  That weight fits my medium build the best.  I have been up and down most of my adult life with a high of 155 lbs and a low of 112 lbs.  I too around 25 years old just stopped being as active because of a new job and just starting gaining weight over three years time.  This year I decided something had to be done so here I am.  I am trying to quit smoking (cut down a whole lot).   I'll add you as my buddy too! 

 

I wonder why its so great to make friends?????  It really gets me pumped and wanting to really do this.  Thank you all so much for the entries.  I honestly think that I have more than 1 twin.  Runner_girl, what all did you do to lose all that weight???  I am really strict as far as only getting 1200 calories a day and I log everything i eat and I am not cheating.  But as I sit here right now i feel like a cow. (I only started doing this on Monday the 7th)..... anyways i am doing pilates for 30 minutes every otehr day and i am walking almost every day...am i on the right path at least???   Thank you all again!!!!  WE CAN DO THIS GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started watching what I ate in Jan...and exercising I am still at the same weight. I am 5'3" and at 163 and wearing a size 12. I hate it... I am doing Turbo Jam I just had my phyisical and I talked to my dr about it. She is sending me to have my thyroid checked so maybe that is what my problem is. I have not seen any movement at all in my weightCry

I'm 29, 5ft tall and currently at 165lbs (I've lost 8lbs so far) yah me  Laughing  Anywho...  I'm currently aiming to get down to 125lbs (havent been that size since H.S.)   I wear a size 14 but I would be completly comfortable with myself if I could manage my way down to a size 8.

My weight has always gone up and down like a yo-yo since about the time I was 20 so this time I'm trying to take it off slowly and keep it off for once.

So far so good *keeping fingers crossed*

I'm 30, 5'1" and 161 now.  I just started earlier this month and lost 4 pounds so far.  My goal is 125 which I once was but I did it in a very unhealthy way.  I'm ready to start trying the healthy but sooooo way so that this time it will stay off.
