I'm so offended by your posts!!!!!

So, with all of the mod. reviews lately it got me thinking...

We should really have a compilation of all of the offensive or borderline offensive stuff said on these forums. So here we go...

What are the most offensive posts that you have seen here in the forums? (quotes are always fun too, but not necessary)

Start here. :)

No the most offensive post to me was the crazy woman who compared homosexuality to pedophelia and bestiality! NOT cool, shame on her! 

When I jokingly said that no one need to listen to Australians since they're all a bunch of convicts, my post got deleted.

Evidently, that was a cardinal sin on here.

 Didn't someone say something about Mormans that ruffled your feathers dnrothx?  I thought I remembered something like that.

Recently I'd have to say the post about Lorik's looks was pretty offensive.

When someone flashed their boobs at me. Oh wait that wasn't this site.

oh thanks!!! i don't think you were very clear sim (tisk tisk).

you know how it is on forums, you never really get the meaning of what people are actually trying to say.

What Groups in Society Annoy You? 

I tagged this thread at the time because it was rife with hateful comments.  I'm sure some of the most offensive posts I've seen on CC were in this thread.  I won't single them out -- everyone has different tolerance levels :)

I'm pretty consistent in talking back when someone says something that pisses me off, don't think I can recount them all here.

 I remember that post. It was really funny and it was a joke. That was about the time that almost anything would get deleted. About the same time there was a thread about sexuality and this one poster kept saying what a prude she was, then I commented that she really was a prude and I got reprimanded. WTF?

I can handle cussing, I can handle people who are on a whole different spectrum from me, I can handle distasteful topics (I mean, you just ignore them, right?)

Mostly, the only stuff I find offensive is when people are unaccepting of viewpoints that are different from theirs, get heated about it, and begin mudslinging.  Or when people are overwhelmingly wrong about facts and refuse to admit it, in a hateful way.  And that has happened A LOT in the few months I've been here.

My joke about Australians = a pretty automatic deletion.

Someone then posted an offensive article with an offensive Chat title ("Crazy Mormons"), essentially calling all Mormons a bunch of homophobic bigots.  I did complain.  Instead of a deletion, the thread was ok'd as long as the OP changed the thread title and essentially said, "let's discuss this article," even though the offensive intent of the thread was already known (twice, as when I complained, the OP then called me "easily offended.").

In other words, don't make fun of Australians, but if you want to prejudicially slander all Mormons, go for it.

I often wonder what would have happened if the thread was entitled "Crazy Jews" from the get-go.

 That was my post, and it was mostly funny because the original blog I was quoting was 'righteously angry' and generalizing about Mormons from a survey that took in all of Utah's opinions (edited to add: by opinions I mean use of the internet to look at Porn.).

And it did ruffle feathers, severely. Which is why it was locked. And I apologized quite a lot if I do remember, and the whole thing was never supposed to be taken seriously, AND I did want a discussion on the article. : \

edited to add: At least I thought it had been locked. I just looked for it again and it wasn't. Perhaps it should be if it's still offensive.

Like I've said ever since, it's the inconsistent moderation that I have a continuing issue with (i.e. I accepted your apology).  If the mods are going to delete a joking generalization about Australians based on offense, then they should delete a joking generalization about Mormons as well when it offends.
