I'm one of those "it will catch up to you" girls
Hi!
My name is Stacey and I am 24 years old, 5 foot and a quarter of an inch :) I weigh 110 pounds.
All my life I have been the super tiny girl. In high school I was 90 pounds. I believe I reached 100 pounds by the end of high school I could eat anything I wanted! College comes I gain 5 pounds and that’s where I stayed until now...
Everyone my whole life has been on to me "you’re so tinny, what do you weigh like 80 pounds wet, you just wait it will catch up to you". My mother was 100 pound for like ever until she was in her late 30's (in which by this time she had 3 kids) then she became over weight I think she probably got to 180 pounds (keep in mind she is my height) my sister is bigger boned as well. We are all short. I have been scared forever that I will take on the weight my mother did. I have always had active Jobs and I never really started to go to the gym until the past 2 years.
Today I am sitting at around 110. I have a Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 job sitting at my desk in an office. I have been in a relationship for well over a year now and I don't make it to the gym as much as I would like to. The only area of my body that is bugging me is my tummy. It definitely is not as tight as it used to be. I want to tone up! but I really don't know how! I have officially become a calorie counter and I am worried it's only going to get worse from here. I have cut down on the bad food I used to eat and I am trying to portion.
I came across this website a couple days ago and I found this group today. I hope that joining will maybe help me out a bit!
Thanks!
Stacey
Hi Stacey!
Gotta laugh at this one since it's funny typing my name exactly the same way I spell it... but welcome! You sound like you caught it really early and if you're cutting out "bad" foods and starting to portion then you really are getting off on the right foot.
If you're limited on time I'd just do something in the morning before work, even if it's just a 20 min tape at the house it'll help. I just started 30 day shred (jillian michaels dvd) and I'm really liking it so far. Wanted to just put that suggestion out there. The 8 min series (abs, buns, etc) are all up on youtube last I saw so those might help you too if you'd rather target the one area instead of doing a more full body plan like shred.
Look forward to seeing more of you around here!
Stacey
