What's the best way to lose stomach fat? Everyone says i am skinny, well not skinny but just not fat at all but then i have this belly, some ppl think i am pregnant, cause it doesnt match with the rest of my body. Sometimes after i eat it just sticks out, im tired of saying no im not pregnant, im just fat there lol What foods can i eat, exercises to burn my belly fat? that is where the fat goes andit sucks!

Just keep a reasonable calorie deficit and over time your belly will shrink. I'm pretty much in the same predicament now. I overdid it this holiday season and packed on a horrible belly. It's gross, it sucks and there's really only one way to get rid of it: Keep a deficit.

ME TOO! I have skinny arms and legs, but I look like I am 3 or 4 months pregnant, and it's really embarrassing and depressing. I always have to hide in sweatshirts.

I have been really frustrated but have ended up concluding that I just need to lose a good 10, 15 pounds to make it go away, because people have said over and over again that you cannot "spot reduce".

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread, because I want to know the answer so badly.

unfortunately, you cant spot reduce.  if you really do have belly fat to lose, then fat loss in general is the way to take care of that.

i lost weight in my feet and hands first.  if i couldve chosen, of course i wouldve chose to lose belly fat first.  it doesnt work like that though

I'm the same way, if I eat very much at all at one time my belly sticks out and I look pregnant. Which BTW I hate and I'm sure you do too. Like some others said weight loss in general is the thing to do, its working for me.

Lol, I think I had some sort of eating disorder..

In summer of July I started out 130lbs, but then by school, which was late August, I weighed 118.

I thought that was pretty normal that I lost weight that fast, since I'm still a teen and growing.

But then I became a little obsessed. I barely ate, and worked out a lot, about 600 calories per work out. For a fourteen-year-old girl, I think that's a little too excessive on the count of I was barely eating. And when I say barely eating, I mean like for breakfast cereal, for lunch a piece of cheese, and then for snacks tomatoes, and finally dinner like five small things of broccoli. By October I got down to 101. I still thought I was fat. But then something hit me and I got really scared. I was terrified and realized how thin I had gotten. So finally I started eating again. But there was a vicious cycle where I would binge and take laxatives. And still go to the gym. I think it finally stopped when I moved houses, because the house I live in now doesn't have a neighborhood gym like my old one did. My weight has gone up and down from 101 to 110 to 120 and back down to 110.

It's now at 118.

I think I'm fat.

But I'm scared to crash diet, because last time I did I fainted, and scared the living crap out of my mother.

I think I need to talk to a doctor, but I don't want to at the same time because I need to lose weight, not maintain it...

It scares me that a fourteen year old girl worries about these things.

Feet gain weight?  Well, maybe that explains why I now take a size 7 and I used to take a 5 1/2.... I had no idea....

Okay here is a weird related question:  do noses gain weight?  I ask because I swear my nose is larger and its not age because I've only noticed it since I have gained weight in the last year....

In order for me not to have a belly I need to not be carrying *any* extra pounds, otherwise I always have a slight belly (even as a kid if I can recall)....Right now I seriously look 6-7 pregnant though (and I know because I've been pregnant enough times to know)....depressing...

Omg I died laughing when I saw the title of this thread.

I was once offered a seat on the bus by several people who all thought I was pregnant!

But yeah - just work on that belly.  Make sure your calorie level is appropriate and start on an excercise plan.

Welcome to the world of being an apple shape. God I hate it. When I was too skinny I STILL had stomach fat. I was skin and bones and still managed to have a pouchy belly. Lovely.

Hey everyone.  I'm so annoyed and frustrated!  I'm seriously thinking of surgery or something.  I've ALWAYS had a "pot belly".  Even as a child it stuck out although I was thin.  My Sr. year of high school, I had grown to a D cup bra and was only 108 pounds and very skinny.  BUT had this stupid belly.  I slowly started not taking care of myself and started to grow everywhere as I got older, my stomach got huge.  I'm talking 7 months pregnant huge!  My highest weight was 163 pounds and Im 5'5.  So I wasn't fat FAT, but fat.  You know?  By that time, my bra cup went to a DD/E.   Keep in mind I've always had very small legs and no butt.  All the weight was on my stomach, boobs, arms & face.  Well a few months ago, I had had enough at age 37.  So I went on a diet and lost 35 pounds!  I'm now only 128 pounds.  I've been told by so many people that I'm starting to look too then.  And in my face, legs & butt (where I didn't need to lose in the first place) is where I've lost most of the weight.  So I'm a girl with bird legs, no butt, sunkin in face, smaller arms and STILL a DD cup size and a huge stomach.  It's the weirdest thing.  How do you lose that much weight and not lose any in your boobs?  And yes, I've lost some in my stomach, but I'm still about 4-5 months pregant.  I constantly have to suck it in to look and feel normal, and that doesn't even work.  It's so embarrasing I could just cry and I don't know what else to do about it.  I'm getting so skinny everywhere else because everyone keeps saying you have to lose it all over and can't spot train.  Well guys..  if I keep going, I'm going to look like anorexic pregant lady.  If this gut wasn't hear, I bet I would weigh 110 pounds.  At least the rest of my body looks that way.  Yet, I'm 128?  When I tell people how much I weigh, they don't believe me.  Some even say I look 100 pounds.  Well when I let out my stomach normally, they just can't believe it!  I wonder if something is wrong, because it's not soft and mushy.  But rather hard.   I seriously lose most of the gut (in clothes, NOT NAKED) when I'm able to suck it in.  But when I let it out, holy moly!  Even my husband freaks out over the difference and doesn't understand how it can be so different.  Ok..  I can go on forever, but does anyone have a suggestion?  Maybe I should see a Dr.?  Cause losing weight overall isn't working.  I mean it did everywhere but the middle of my body.  And I can't afford to lose anymore unless it is in my gutt.

I have a BMI of 20 and someone asked me if I was pregnant last Friday at work. Nice.

I same problem that you have, least once year  My co-worker ask I am Preganment, it so embrass.

OMG! I just read you post heading and had a flashback.

For as long as I can remember I have always had a small little pooch. Even when I was a size2-3. It is in me genes I guess. About 3 years ago I began to gain weight eventually reaching my highest point of 181. I walked into my boyfriend of 3 years mothers place of business and in front of everyone, customers and all she yells. "Are you pregnant"? I replied "No I am just fat, thanks!" I could have died.

I have come to the realization that I MAY always have my pooch but I can do my best by going to the gym to get rid of it. My mother always says "you'll never get rid of it" So I am out to prove her wrong.

As a bit of a random aside to those of you who have noticed it specifically after you eat - I'd suggest keeping track of that, comparing what you've eaten to how 'pregnant' you get. You may have a mild intolerance, which can cause some crazy bloating in your stomach - I have a bunch of food sensitivities, and I can literally put 4" on my waist with a single bowl of ice cream! It used to not even hurt, so it never occurred to me that I was bloated, rather than just gaining...

An easy way to make your stomach look slimmer is to improve your posture.  If you slouch, your stomach sticks out.  If you stand/sit up straight with shoulders back, you look slimmer.  This is likely the main problem for those who are "skinny" who feel like they have a stomach pooch.  (And, yes, I am an apple shape.  I get where you're coming from.  But good posture helps tons.)
