I'm a size 7!!!
A little background: I was skinny all my life, had my first kid at 25 and 4th(last) at 35. I'm now 39,5-0. Pregnancy made me hungry!!! I gained alot of weight in those years. I never really believed I could lose it or the results would be worth it. WRONG!!
I was at my highest un-pg weight of 158 in January, size 14 (though my comfiest jeans were 16). My aunt bought me a bunch of sz12 clothes a couple months ago and I've been (strangely) reluctant to try on smaller sizes or buy new clothes. Well, they've gotten so big, I finally bought new jeans....Now, I'm 130 and wearing a size 7!! In fact, they're loose!
I just wanted to share my good news-good luck everyone!
WHOOO. that is very exciting news! I can't wait to be a size seven. Going from a size twelve and realizing you fit into seven would be really, really exciting.
Congrats!
Wow! Congratulations, hun! I can't wait to be a size 7/8!
Congrats!!!! How tall are you if you don't mind me asking?
I was at Kohl's today and grabbed a pair of 5's to try on. They were a little snug but I decided they would work and when I checked the tag I saw they were 3's! I went back and got my 5's but was thrilled I could even zip up a pair of 3's! LOL
Congratulations! thats so awesome!
That's so awesome! I'll bet you're glad you decided to stick with this =] Remember this feeling next time you're having an off-day. Best of luck <3
Thanks, everyone. I'm only 5ft tall, so I still have a way to go, but this was very encouraging to me. I'm very close now to a healthy BMI which is soooo cool IMO. The rest will be gravy. Hang in there, all of you! If I can do it, I know you can!
i am also 5'0 and im in a size 8...I haven't gone shopping in awhile...im waiting to hit my goal weight of 115....congrats on your accomplishment!!!
Congrats!! What a great feeling!
Looking forward to joining the 130 club when my 'project' reaches its goal.
WHOO HOOO!!!! Good for you!
I'm 53 years old and hit my all time high of 175 lbs. in January thanks to stress and menopause. I started going to a personal trainer and nutritionist once a week and what a difference! I lost 31 lbs. so far! I'm back in my size 8's! I've lost 25 total inches and went from 39% body fat to 27.2%. Only 2 more % pts. to be at optimal health and 5 more lbs. to go! If I can do it, anyone can!
Okay, I am 20 years old, and at a weight of 165-175 I wore size 13-14's how could you wear that large a size when you were so much smaller than I? I am 5'7 too, now I am 197 lbs (after losing ten! Yay) and I wear a 16 now comfortably...(NO it is NOT a lie, I really do!)
My question is, was that in a petite size that you wore a 14-16? Because I am guessing either my height stretched me out thin or else I was shopping at a fat store all of these years... & nbsp; :(
but Kudos on you getting into those 7's!
:D
That's Awesome! I'm sure you worked really hard toward it. It's nice to know that even if you never thought it was possible, it is!
dreimcatchir, I'm a bubble butt, there, I admit it! Anyway, that's why I fit into a 14 at 158, 5-0. Also, 158 at 5-0 appears much larger than 165 at 5-7. Believe me.
I didn't mean to appear rude, I apologize if I appeared so, but still, great work and I hope I can do so well!
I'm thrilled with my new size and body. I'm comfortably wearing size 8's now and even bought a size 6 cocktail dress!
What depresses me though is when I measure some of my older clothes that still fit me against the newer (smaller) clothes i just bought ...... guess what? They measure the Same! I have size 12 pants that fit me exactly the same as the new size 8's I just bought. I worked for years in retailing, and if you read any of the trade magazines, you'll see how the industry is catering to women and their ever-increasing size. Which is why you now see so many double zeros, zeros and two's.....which are the "old" size 4's and 6's......
But who cares?! I'm still thrilled to be in size 8's regardless. So I guess the industry psychology is working.....
That's funny, starmom, because I'm 5 lbs heavier than I was before I had my first kid. Plus, I'm much more muscular than then (14 years ago). But, I'm a darn-near-perfect size 4 at 120 now when I was a size 6 at 115 then. So, yeah, your claims are proven by my own experience.
So, I'm a size 4 now, 120. I've decided to maintain this weight since it seems to be my body's setpoint. I'm concentrating more on shape than size now.
Once again, keep up the good efforts, everyone!
