Weight Loss
Moderators: duke3522, devilish_patsy, topanga1485, nycgirl, spoiled_candy, cmillington, coach_k I'm starting to see change but Still way to much belly fat....Help.
I don't get it. I can't say I'm disappointed. I went back over some old pics and was amazed at the change I see in myself....(Posted a panaramic progress pic in my picture gallery which proves it because I normally won't show "heavier" pics of me LOL) and I AM very proud of what I see. What the last pic doesn't show well even in the bigger picture of it there is my belly. I am only 5 lbs from my goal weight of 120 lbs (2 if we went with my original goal weight of 123) but still have my very evident "I've had a baby" belly (The big bulge at the bottom area of my stomach). I exercise twice a day, although stagger to every other day on lower tummy exercises, and can't seem to lose this pudge. It's really heart breaking to get down so low and not see my stomach flattening out at all. Yes I have thinned out quite a few inches off my waist....and for this am so grateful, but there has to be something to do to get rid of these extra tummy inches.
Even if at 120 I'm not happy I CAN go down to 118 (where I was when I had my Shellby) but I really don't want to go lower than that. I want to have a realistic idea of how to look instead of the super model version. LOL I'm just really depressed about this right now.
Has anyone else out there had this problem? Have you found anything that helps with this?

When you have a child it weakens the muscle wall in your abdomen, unfortunately in a lot of cases the only way to fix it is plastic surgery in which they basically lace up you muscles. Don't get discouraged though, keep up you stomach exercises! who knows, be patient!
Hi shellbysmomma...
I looked it up online to see what I could find about post pregnancy belly exercises and I found that it suggests that you have to strengthen "transverse abdominis" and "internal obliques" So, maybe look up abdominal exercizes for those specific groups? I know nothing about abdominals hehe but I wanted to try to find something because I have a friend going through the same problem. Someone told her that because she had a C-section she'd have to have plastic surgery but according to Dr Google ;-) you can strengthen them on your own as long as the muscle isn't damaged. My friend's problem is that her stomach still has numb places years after the birth of her child, so she thinks she'll have to do the tummy tuck for a flat stomach. Several sites said it can be done, its just much harder after childbirth. Good luck!
